I had been seeing Dr. Vijay Subbarao for my cardiology issues for two years when I learned his former clinic, Denver Heart, was shuttering. There was no question whatsoever that I would follow him to Intermountain Health Heart & Vascular. Denver Heart very kindly facilitated forwarding of my medical records to Intermountain. I made an appointment with Dr. Subbarao as soon as he opened his calendar. Although I was established with Dr. Subbarao at Denver Heart, I was a new patient to Intermountain. That, of course, necessitated that I complete the usual bunch of paperwork associated with becoming a new patient of a practice. That was no problem because I was already in the same system that Intermountain is tied to for another provider. When I arrived for my appointment, the very nice receptionist whose name I unfortunately don't recall welcomed me. Then she told me, "Our clinic is now your clinic." Her extremely cordial greeting meant a lot to my wife and me. The quality and appearance of the clinic impressed me as being very professional and first class in every way. It inspired confidence that I was in good hands. After his medical assistants worked me up, Dr. Subbarao saw me and conducted his usual thorough exam of me. He answered all my questions. In particular, he told me if I had urgent medical issues to either call the clinic or message him through the portal. I felt very assured thereafter. Dr. Subbarao told me to schedule for my usual semi-annual exam. I am very pleased to continue in Dr. Vijay Subbarao's care and to be a patient of Intermountain Health Heart & Vascular.
