Dr Beckham ran echocardiograms on my heart for 10 years watching my bicuspid valve. In November 2023 he noticed my valve was showing signs of slowing down causing my EF to move to 60%. Told me to check back in 6 months later May 2024. However if I started having chest problems to let him know. By January 2024 my EF fell to 20%. My chest felt like a heavy pressure. Very close to heart failure. He ran all the test necessary for me to have a TAVR. In February I was told that i couldn't get the procedure till April. And they told me if I went into heart failure go to ER. I decided to get a second opinion and went to Hoag Hospital Heart and Vascular institute. 7 days later march 13 2024 I was scheduled for Open Heart surgery to replace both the bicuspid valve and my aorta and repair an aneurysm . They made room for me. I went into heart failure on march 12. The day before my scheduled surgery. Dr Beckham told their people that I could wait till April! If i had waited I would have died. PIH whole Cardiac group is unprofessional and didn't care if I died. Very scary.
