Terrible. They made us wait 4 hours to see my daughter for a couple minutes, put a glue dot on her head & later charged me $1650 for the visit. No x rays, no stitches, no nothing and charging me that amount. There is another bill too which i haven't attached listed as physician bill on top of this. First they didn't have my insurance info & were going to charge me $907.50 after a self pay discount. Thereafter, I called & gave them my insurance info hoping they would charge less but now they want me to pay even more: $1332. The ucla billing customer service agent was rude when we called & wouldn't even adjust to the previous balance of $907.50. Please be aware. Never again. Please go elsewhere.

Absolutely horrible experience. The nurse who did my intake was rude and seemed like she really hated her job. I was here for seven hours. With that kind of wait time, I could have gone to county. I heard them tell someone who had pneumonia to just go home and wait because the wait time was so long. And this was on a Monday. I would rate this negative stars if I could. I can't believe this is a UCLA facility. There were patients who were in obvious distress being completely ignored. Go anywhere else but here unless you have ten hours to kill. I have heard horror stories about this place. Horrible place.

UCLA has ruined West Hills ER - the hurry up-n-wait - you think its all going well, fast x-rays, CTscans, etc then it takes 4 hours for the Dr to come back - when you tell him that waiting on last minute labs is unacceptable - he defers it to don't blame me blame staff attitude - even though all the other testing was completed 3 hours previously his excuse is blaming others (projection much?) for a Dr who IS STAFF who makes 300k+ you think a genuine apology and "we will do better next time" would have been part of his medical training and professionalism instead of hiding and deflecting and blaming others - wont be his last time either. Ever since they took over I have been there several times and it gets worse each time. DOWNTOWN UCLA is great - they phoned it in up here in the west end of the valley.

Since UCLA took over this hospital, the care in the emergency room dropped from 10 to 0.
If I could give them minus , I definitely would !I came there for a second time with A chest pain. The first time I waited over 30 plus min and noone called to check me ( it says on their monitors that if you have a chest pain you need to let them know right away ) . When I started to cry , because I could not breathe and asked the nurses outside when I will be called in , I was told they dont know what happened. They went to one of the rooms twice to remind the other nurses / techs about me and finally I was called in . So , basically , if I was having a heart attack , I already would probably be dead .
Today I had a severe chest pain once again and checked in this emergency room simply because I live a minute away from that facility. I felt very sick and my hands and legs were shaking. I could not breathe. Even though I wrote that I have a severe chest pressure and pain , after my blood pressure was taken , I was send to the waiting room. I questioned the tech that took my vitals , if I will
Be called soon for ekg and the answer was we can do it but not to even think that will put me in front of the others. Hello, the only thing on my mind was if I was getting a heart attack ..... anyway I was called inside and keep in mind that every single time you are called for a blood test , xray , etc , when you come out there is no place to sit, not to mention to lay down. So a nice medical person from the hospital let me in to sit on a chair inside. There were 4 chairs - 2 ladies with ivs , one without and a younger guy accompanying one of the ladies . I was so relieved that I could lay down half a way for a bit. But here it comes a male nurse by the name of Matt. He literary attacked me verbally shouting at me who let me to sit here. I explained him and also I told him that there is no place to sit outside. He told me I need to go outside, because those chairs should be available only for iv patients . I said , I will step away if need , no question at all . But I was told in the rudest way , you can only imagine, that there is a chair now outside and I need to immediately leave. By the way , a guy stayed there, who was not a patent, a lady stayed there who was not on iv and till I was talking to the security and asking to speak with a manager the chair was taken and I ended up standing again.
I spoke to a manager - she "did not know "the waiting room is full . Imagine- the people who take your insurance info are standing outside , collecting your info, the nurses who check your vitals are outside too, the techs open the doors a few times in a minute, but the manager is not aware that there are no places for the patents to sit down in the lobby of the emergency room ! Forget about lying down. Next to me another lady was crying that they were so mean to her- my heart broke because I saw before she started to cry how she was treated and she was in an excruciating pain.
If you can avoid this place - stay away from it!!!! Horrible , rude , careless and negligent behavior !!!!!
I am in a total disbelief and will take further my complaint !

Wow. Everything went fast. Nice staff. After few hours waiting started to see all the Problems
Certainly:
1. Inside the emergency room, I was shocked to find it infested with bugs after sitting there for two hours. They started to move :(
2. Witnessing a nurse drop a vital blood tube on the floor, then put it back in the box, was concerning.
3. The emergency doctor was dishonest, dismissing my concerns despite evidence in my blood work. It seemed they were more focused on financial gain than patient care. He couldnt pull a fast one. He let go of few people with problems. Those poeple trusted him!
4. After being expelled " asked to leave without discharge paper work , I made sure to loudly inform everyone about the unclean and unsanitary conditions of the rooms. Additionally, I urge everyone to request copies of their lab reports for their own awareness and protection.
