Dr. John C. Koumas, MD

I was in pain because of a bad shoulder and allergy around my eyes. Im additions had pain when urinating and got an appt with nurse practitioner Patricia for today at 9:30am. On my way there I encounter a multiple car accident on Sunset and it delayed my arrival 10minutes and was denied service. I begged her to see me because I was in pain but was rejected and asked to reschedule. I have been a patient of Doctor Koumas for years and had never been treated this way. Worst customer service and inhumane treatment ever. Never going back again.

Dr. Koumas is sweet and attentive. Unfortunately, his intake clerks Alyssa and others are short tempered and rude. It is apparent his staff need people skills training. Dr Koumas needs to realize his staff is the face of his practice, if they are rude and uncaring, it is a reflection on him.

I found this doctors thru my insurance provider, doctor is really nice and helpful, but if you want to make an appointment it's so difficult, I called to make an appointment cause I wansnt feeling good, the next available appointment was 2 1/2 weeks away, by that time i was feeling very well, so good luck with making an appointment, aside from that the receptionist are very rude, especially the one with the red hair, looks like she hasn't been happy all her life now she's taking it out on every patient that walks thru that door, I'm not the only one that has notice, look at other reviews and it's the same problem, Dr. needs get a whole new reception team. Hope he reads this review.

I was just rejected for Covid treatment by Dr. Koumas staff and I have a PPO. My wife was able to get a prescription from Kaiser and she has an HMO in a matter of minutes. While I'm very sick and there is no way I can drive out there. I'm calling my Health Insurance to get a new doctor

I took my mom to Dr. Koumas for the first time. He was very nice and thorough. The office staff were very nice, helpful and efficient.
