Cambrian Cardiology-Oscar A. Matthews, M.D., F.A.C.C.

I was referred to Dr. Matthews and found the front desk completely unresponsive and un-friendly. I could not set an appointment for 5 weeks with excuses ranging from our fax machine isn't working to your referral has timed out. Never got a call back when left messages (>10 times) and never felt like customer service is of any consideration.

I was sent her from my employer. I was initially contacted by Cambrian Cardiology to set up a QME. Having already completed a QME with another doctor, I questioned why they were calling me. The person who called apologized and disconnected. I called my case worker and advised them of the call that I received and he advised me it was not for a QME and to call back to schedule an appointment. Initially I was told somebody would call me back to set up an appointment but nobody called me back. I attempted to call them for three weeks but kept getting busy signals and what seemed like access to check the office voicemail, but nowhere to actually leave a voicemail. Finally I spoke with somebody who schedule an appointment for me. The day prior to the appointment I called again to make sure there were no special instructions that I need to follow prior to the appointment. Again, the phone was busy all day. Today I drove over an hour for my appointment and they have no record of my appointment. They advised me that they called me three times and I specifically stated I did not want an appointment. I explained that they called me once and incorrectly advised me that it was for a QME which I declined, however after getting clarification from my caseworker I called back and spoke to someone who scheduled me for today. I also showed them my call records that showed the conversation that I had with them when I set up the appointment but they denied the conversation ever happened. The front desk workers are inept at best, which probably speaks volumes about the doctor who employs them.

Rude staff never even greeted me when I walked in,just gossiped a laughed in Spanish. When signed in I was told "the won't be here for an hour is that ok?". If the Doctor was running that late why didn't they call me?I would have called them if I had been even 10 minutes late!

Dr. o.Matthews is a very food cardiologist, very sensitive with patient.
