Dr. Gamini is as friendly as a porcupine and does not have great bedside manners. Went to see him because my pcp was booked for a while out and it was a miserable experience. I would try to explain my medical history to him as he brought it up reading my charts and he would talk over and down to me and not listen. For things dating back to 2019 and are not relevant today, he wouldn't let me get two words in to explain. He'd just say the condition loudly and shut me down from talking. It was immensely frustrating because you're supposed to be able to talk to your doctor and I couldn't talk to him. My husband was in the room and he didn't treat my husband or talk to him this way. It felt like he was trying to make me fight him to explain and he didn't want to listen to anything I said. If you have to go over your charts with him, he'll just read it and talk over you and not listen. You will not be able to advocate for yourself. It's no wonder he has open availability when other doctors are so booked up. Do yourself a favor and find another doctor. There are so many good pcps in LA it's not worth wasting your time with him.
