Dr Carney Chan, vascular surgeon with LR Advanced Wound Care Center is excellent I have had several severe infections over the years & have found Dr Chan to be very knowledgeable, kind & helpful. His plan for my treatment was thorough & I felt I was receiving the best care. Going forward I will always choose him for my treatment at Wound Center since I have a medical condition that unfortunately results in serious infections
All of the Wound Center staff from the first phone call to the nurses is top notch & I will alway continue to recommend

My experience with Dr. Chan had to do with a VenaSeal procedure that was done in September, 2024. I expected the procedure to reduce the swelling in my ankle and foot that was due to insufficient venous supply in my leg. I was told that the procedure would do that, but after the procedure I was then told that I should not expect much reduction in the swelling for a few months. After a couple of weeks I called the office about pain and inflammation in the leg and was told by a nurse that I should have followed instructions on the post-operative flyer I received before the procedure. I told the nurse that I hadn't received the flyer, so she read to me from the post-operative instructions and I used ice and Ibuprofen to reduce my pain. I also told her that I had only slight reduction in ankle swelling from the procedure and she said sometimes it takes 3 months for that to happen. I was charged $200 for that "telephone evaluation" and the swelling in my ankle from the venous insufficiency is still there.
