Robert J. Simon, Pharm. D, MD

I'm glad I didn't read these reviews before I made my appointment. Read them after my first visit. Did not have any of these issues with Dr. Simon. Have seen him several times now. Always helpful, patient, and caring. I'm a nurse so I have high expectations of my primary care physician and I think he is amazing.

Our healthcare system needs more doctors like Dr. Simon. He's definitely no non-sense, and you can tell that he expects his office to run well. He's also knowledgeable on when a PCP can handle a condition and when it needs to get referred out. He is frequently teaching new doctors how to give primary care, which is certainly a good sign. I recommend him to my friends as a great PCP who will cut through the BS and get you back to your life.

I took my sister to see Dr. Simon. She is mentally retarded so I went with her as she had several medical problems to deal with. The nurse asked me if we minded Dr. Simon having a student come with him into the exam room. We said that was fine. The student nurse practitioner was the ONLY one who came in. We waited a long time for her to confer with the doctor. It would have gone quicker if we could have just spoken with him. This was a new primary care doctor and we asked for several referrals since she cannot go to the doctor by herself and I had to come in from NY to take her. The appointment lasted over 2 hours and we never even saw the doctor until we left. He was telling the student that we were asking for too much in terms of referrals when we walked up.

Dr. Simon and his staff couldn't care any less for there patients. Overnight I broke out with a very painful rash on my face I went to his office when they first opened and they turned me away. My husband used to be a patient, he said that Doctor Simon would enter the room barely look at him then leave the room without giving any direction. I figured since he was local and that I had been there before, have insurance that he would at least try to fit me in. I ended up at the emergency room where I was seen within 10 minutes. He'll never receive a referral from me nor my business.

This is the worst Doctor I've ever run across. If I could sum up his patient care philosophy in a phrase it would be, " I couldn't care less".
