Patient
I had open heart surgery with aortic valve replacement and partial aorta replacement at Stanford in early December. This is a serious surgery. I was referred back to Dr. Erickson for post-op care. When I returned home, I began to have problems with a condition called Afib, which is very common after open heart surgery. Calling Stanford, they told me to go to Emergency at a hospital and get the shock treatment, which is no fun and many times not effective. Communicated with Dr.Erickson and he modified my medications plus gave me other care instructions. The afib went away the first day in a few hours. Returned the 2nd day but went away in 30 minutes and has not returned. Dr. Erickson's expert knowledge and vast experience cured my problem in an efficient and less painful manner. His intelligence and experience warrants a five star rating.
