I absolutely loved the private labor and postpartum rooms, which featured state-of-the-art facilities. The nurses and staff were always available at the slightest request, making me feel comfortable throughout my entire stay. They consistently checked in every two hours and were on call whenever I needed assistance. I was there for four days--two days for induction and then delivery via a minimally invasive C-section. The staff was wonderful, especially Nurse Cherry. She initially handled my admission, cared for me during the following two days, and was also by my side on delivery day. She stayed with me until the very last moment and even helped me with breastfeeding until the end of her shift. Her support and dedication made a huge difference in my experience. I also want to highlight my OB-GYN, Dr. Megan Bernstein, who provided excellent care throughout my pregnancy and delivery. She was incredibly supportive, always patiently addressing all my questions and concerns, and made sure every issue was fully resolved. Her professionalism and kindness gave me great confidence and peace of mind.

UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center is truly one of the most professional and well-organized hospitals I've ever visited. The staff is incredibly skilled, kind, and attentive, making sure every patient receives top-quality care. The lobby is spotless and welcoming, and the patient rooms and transfer areas are always clean, modern, and comfortable. They also offer convenient parking, which makes a big difference. From check-in to discharge, everything runs smoothly and with great respect and professionalism. I highly recommend this hospital to anyone looking for excellent medical care in a clean and supportive environment.

I spent at one point I think 27 days inpatient at this hospital everyone from the food handlers to the RNs to the Techs to the hospitalist To the award-winning surgical team is just exceptional. The infectious disease team everybody is wonderful. It's not easy being in the hospital for a long period of time but even the acupuncturist I cannot remember his name, but he was so incredibly nice. They would put aromatherapy in my room to try to cheer me up. It was during the time where there was a lot of Covid patients in the hospital and because I don't qualify for a Covid vaccine I couldn't leave my room and they would do everything possible to try to cheer me up I really appreciate this hospital all the care and kindness and every single thing they did for me. Dr. David Chen saved my life numerous times as well. He's an exceptional surgeon and deserves an entire wing of this hospital in my opinion. I also really would like to thank Dr. Victor Nitti for all of his exceptional care.

The hospital is very nice, clean, and provides excellent service. The staff were kind and helpful. However, I had a bad experience at the restaurant downstairs. Most of the staff were pleasant, but one woman who was serving the food, especially the meat, behaved in a very disrespectful way. When I politely asked her to add something, she suddenly threw the food in front of me with a rude attitude. It was surprising and disappointing because everyone else was doing their job with kindness and professionalism.

I have been to this hospital numerous times due to a persistent problem that was not checked thoroughly. My body and face was racked with bacteria that showed on my skin. Not one doctor at UCLA performed a skin culture. So my problem was diagnosed for over year by a deematologist after my PCP advised him to do so. So after this point, I learned that I had a deadly infection disease. I went back to UCLA with the diagnosis and requested a drug I saw in a hospital study that was effective for a similar patient like me. The doctor said I could not have this drug as I would have to be hospitalized. I had to opt for another drug which I reluctantly took home. This drug did not cure the problem. Later, I received a bill when my insurance has always paid for treatment. The billing agent texted the bill with no name or billing dept phone no. Just the amount. I was being dunned by texts now on this bill currently with no way to communicate. My opinion of UCLA Medical Center is that the hospital management leaves much to be desire as it causes the doctors to not be doing their job properly due to cost cutting measures imposed by the hospital.
