Patient
I used to like her but had a very bad experience. I had previously been a regular patient but, due to the pandemic, hadn't been there for four years. Her fee, after insurance, was always $600. This time, her assistant, Gerald, did not inform me prior to the appointment that her fee had gone up to $2500!!! That's a huge jump with no communication. Before I knew the new fee, she took my blood and charged my AMEX $1500. When I told them I wouldn't be back, she refused to read my blood work nor offer a refund unless I gave her $1000 more. My new cardiologist told me that it is unethical for a doctor to do blood work and not interpret the results. I think it is unethical to accept a patient without informing them of the fees they will incur.
