The Best Cardiologist!!! I being with a lot doctors around town looking for different opinions for my client after her old cardiologist for 20 years and 2 more cardiologist toll her she only got couple weeks in this world, we went just for 4 opinion about her condition with Dr. Bonometti with not much hope, he had the best approach to her, make her feel comfortable, explain her condition and what he can do to correct the problem, recommend her a out pt. surgery few days after she got the surgery recovered at home, the was almost one year ago, now she is doing great!!!! and her heart is doing super, no problems at all and she is very well!!!!

If I could add a negative ,I would. My husband was referred to this cardiologist by a friend of mine. We actually liked him. But the office practice is criminal. My husband had a pre-authorized procedure done back in 2020. We were told that our insurance had pre-authorized it, so he went ahead and did it. Fast forward to June 2022. We received a bill for $7360!! Saying the insurance did not cover it. My husband immediately got on the phone with the office. Told them he was told the procedure needed to be preauthorized before moving forward back in 2020. Of course they said it was authorized, he went ahead and had it done. Now they're saying it wasn't authorized. He asked how it was possible that he was told it was authorized- lying to him! They Probably didn't contact the insurance and just told him it was authorized! Interestingly enough, the receptionist said she hears this quite a bit !! That's insane !! STEER CLEAR OF THIS PRACTICE !!!!. Something quite fishy is going on. And to think two years later... We get a bill??

I was referred to Dr. Bonometti by a primary care physician at the U.C. Santa Barbara health center after my EKG was irregular. Dr. Bonometti had another EKG done and then immediately informed me that I might have a very dangerous heart condition called Brugada Syndrome. In a caustic, condescending, and arrogant tone, he informed me that I should immediately have him perform a surgical electrical stress test of my heart (despite the fact that I had no symptoms other than an irregular EKG). He spent less then 10 minutes explaining the procedure, informing me that "everyone will tell you the same thing" and this test was "standard". I left upset and scared. Since then I have met with several cardiologists at UCLA (who confirm that Dr. Bonometti has a "reputation" in the cardiology field...and not a good one). Nonsurgical procedures were sufficient to rule out having Brugada syndrome; his diagnosis was not correct and his scaremongering tactics to drum up business were unethical. I advise speaking to a general cardiologist first for any concerns, and then avoiding Dr. Bonometti at all costs.

Very superficial, sense of narcissism that he is some kind of God. His scaremongering tactics to drum up business were unethical. He says patients only with big dollar signs, once he made his moulah, he is often to the next goldmine.

I have been seeing Dr Bonometti for five years. He is one of the most caring doctors I have met. He spends as much time as you need to understand your heart and health.
