Dr. Gerstenfeld has managed my care for the past 10 years and is excellent. I have seen electrophysiologists at top hospitals nationwide (Cleveland Clinic, UPenn, Beth Israel, Stanford, Johns Hopkins, and more) and strongly believe Dr. Gerstenfeld to be among the best of the doctors I've ever met. Dr. Gerstenfeld has not only saved my life but helped me maintain a great quality of life, despite my ARVC heart problem. The epicardial ablation he performed on me in 2014 was a total game changer that radically improved my quality of life.

If there were 0 stars that is the choice. My son's godfather experienced a massive stroke after Dr.
Gerstenfeld performed a cardio ablation recently. It was supposed to be an outpatient procedure. The patient was was left by Dr. Gerstenfeld for several hours after the procedure before anyone noticed paralysis and that he had suffered a stroke. Where was Dr. Gerstenfeld? The Godfather of a 12 year old, brother, friend, uncle, colleague, mentor, and more is only 57 years old. It has only been 3 weeks and there is no follow-up from Dr. Gerstenfeld? He did tell the stroke patient he felt responsible and apologized, really he said sorry. He walked into the hospital room of a patient when no one was around ... and apologized, instead of giving him the best care available, Dr. Gerstenfeld was just concerned about himself after causing my dear friend to have a stroke. Maybe the guilt got to him. We're told Dr. Gerstenfeld caused the stroke when he shocked the heart, and the worst part is he made very little to no effort to have the patient transported to UCSF for medical procedures that could have responded to a stroke and lessen the severity and consequences of the stroke.
