San Diego Heart and Vascular Associates

My wife had an acute heart failure last summer. We're moving to San Diego and I tried to help her make an appointment with Dr. Salami. We were told she needed a referral to make an appointment so we had her cardiologist call the clinic for the referral. He was told that they could not accept the referral if it was not from a primary care physician in San Diego. Our insurance has no referral requirement. What a ridiculous scenario. We have a patient with a history of heart failure being referred by another cardiologist but that is not sufficient to schedule an appointment at this practice.

Dr Ali Salami was not on time- he took me early His staff was wonderful and nice and handled everything with care and friendliness. The doctor answered all of my questions and concerns. He ordered tests and explained why and the staff scheduled my tests and follow up appnts next week. I felt blessed to be in such good hands

I was very pleased. Everyone was kind and I was treated just like I wanted to be treated-my provider knew what she was doing and she didn't hesitate to ask me if I was comfortable. I look forward to returning there when I need additional lab work completed. Thanks to the receptionists and the technician for making me feel special.

I checked references and all 3 of my attending physicians stated that if they needed a cardiologist - Dr Salami and Dr Kagan are the two that they would go to for assistance. Hearing that from other physicians set my mind at ease that I found the right cardiologists! Make the same choice as I did and I know you will not regret ever deciding to go to their office based off of my 5 star review and direct experience. Dr.'s Salami and Kagan saved my heart in June 2024 and saving my life. They installed a pacemaker and AED. I cannot brag loud enough that they saved my life. 5 Stars all of the time especially with their level of knowledge, their kindness and their dedication to me, the patient. Out of all of the cardiologists in San Diego these two are leading the way in innovation, education experience expertise, technology and embracing the unknown. The "unknown" is every patient as no two of us are exactly the same. These two doctors / surgeons are the only two that I would go to again to help solve my "broken heart". Thank you !

Dr Keramati is amazing. I went to see him about some vein issues in my legs. Dr. Keratitis took his time to explain everything to me and made sure all my questions were answered. He has completed several procedures on my legs and he is always asking if everything is OK, answering all my questions and concerns and makes me feel comfortable. I have complete faith in him and recommend him very highly. His entire staff is amazing...
