Pediatric Cardiology of San Diego

Find any other place. I took my child there and they spent 90 minutes running every test they could bill to insurance. After all the tests, the Dr. came in and read the test results and made a conclusion WITHOUT ever asking what the actual problem was. Why run on the tests and tell me everything is OK when you didn't even ask what was wrong. They tested for the wrong things because they never even asked what they symptoms are. Honestly, worst Dr I've ever been too and frustrated I pulled my child out of school so they could bill insurance for a bunch of unnecessary tests. If you just need an ultrasound or EKG, the techs were great. If you actually want a diagnosis to figure out what might be going on, find someplace else. Find anyplace else.

My 17 yr old son has been seen at this facility twice, we once saw dr Molkara and a year later dr Horenstein. Both doctors were great and awesome at explaining the newly found condition to my son (and to me). The ultrasound technician does seem jaded and borderline rude. The first year she was getting annoyed that my son, being very lean, was causing her to have a hard time seeing through his rib cage. She repeatedly commented "If you weren't so skinny" and it wasn't jokingly...she was not very sympathetic both times while he was pretty nervous and could have used some kindness. In any case, the doctors and rest of the staff are worth putting up with the less happy ultrasound technician.

Besides the receptionist and medical assistant, the staff, doctor included, are not very child friendly. The ultrasound tech & ekg tech seemed annoyed that my 3 year old didn't want to sit for over an hour during these different tests. The doctor hardly interacted with my son, and literally ran out of the room when he had an accident. She didn't come back in or even finish her sentence before leaving as quickly as possible.

Truly excellent staff! Had the opportunity to work with Kian and Tina in reception and medical records-- they were professional, responsive, and incredibly helpful. Would definitely recommend working with these folks!
