Patient
Dr. Emlein is one of the few doctors I've encountered who really listens to and talks to his patients. He doesn't rush us through the appointment. Each person has different needs, and he takes the time to address these needs. I could overhear him with other patients, and I am glad he is personable. As a result, he is often not like clockwork with his timing. But this is a trade-off that I am happy to make. I just make my appointment later in the day, when I don't have to go back to work or to some other engagement. I don't think people remember the time when doctors in America weren't made to follow the "no more than 15 mins per patient" paradigm doctors today seem to follow. College counselors do this now, too. Quantity over quality is today's paradigm. But Dr. Emlein seems to operate to the beat of his own...heart.
