Others may feel differently but this is our experiences with Mercy Medical Group.
If I can give a negative star to the Cardiology team I will. My sister who has battle breast cancer for over a year now is finally recovering but is still in a lot of pain. I have been her caretaker during the whole process and I've seen how each doctors, nurses, and staffs, treat her throughout this process. Honestly, it's a 50/50. We have very few good doctors/nurses/staffs meanwhile we have met mostly ok and not very kind ones.
She has battle chest pain for more than 6 months since her mastectomy surgery and they wouldn't give an appointment sooner than 4 months from January 2025 which will be in mid/late April 2025. During the first meeting with her cardiologist he told her she needs to exercise, walk, and do some
Physical Therapy or some type of exercise to help with her heart pressure and pain. In a week she found help from a program for physical therapy, however she needs him to sign off for the help. He took over two weeks to look at 1 piece of paper which should had only take 1 min of his day to read and sign but it took him over two weeks to respond and deny her the help from the program.
He said he won't be liable for her getting physical therapy support and help until 4 months from now when she takes the heart stress test. Which this leads her to not get any physical therapy support for recovery or get any treatment for her lymphadenopathy.
Now 4 months later in April her appointment is here, because of the poor Mercy parking facilities conditions and situation, she couldn't find parking for over 30 mins, which leads her to be 5 mins late for her appointment. Since she can't walk fast or run, this also made it difficult for her.
Because she was 5 mins late they've rejected the appointment when she waited for over 4 months for them. It doesn't make any sense. It's truly evil how this cardiologist and his team has put her through. He would not give her any sooner appointments; even when we asked to be on the waiting, deny her physical therapy help within the 4 months waiting period and now deny to see her because of their poor parking situation which caused her to being late. It's truly disgusting and diabolical of this team. You can't help it, if even you come early you can't find parking in their premises.
Where is the Justice in this? We truly have no words to describe how they can stand behind their famous phrase of "human kindness" and not be ashamed how they actually treat their patients.
Update: my sister went to the ER after this situation because of the stress of many things, and they said her next appointment will be in September 2025. That's 5 months from now! This team is truly unbelievable and heartless.

If you care about your heart health, do not go to this office. They couldn't care less about you. I was scheduled for two tests- a halter monitor and an echo. They couldn't get a halter monitor on me for a few weeks, and they couldn't get me in for an echo for 3 months. They never called me with the halter monitor results, and they canceled my echo after 2 months, and didn't even call to tell me it was canceled! I called them to confirm the echo and they told me it had been canceled a month ago because they had many employees quit. I can see why they quit! Please do your heart a favor and don't go here at all costs.

I was admitted with minor stroke. Per Doctor order, I need a MRI and ECHO. MRI dept was great. ECHO was not. Needed an ECHO before I can be discharged. Waited 1 whole day for them but nothing happened ended up staying 1 more night at the hospital. Second day they said it will be in the morning. Waited till 1pm still no ECHO. The ECHO team at Mercy General need an overhaul asap. Either need more worker or better scheduling. Just want to go home!!

I went to the J Street location for my appointment half an hour early as instructed with my paperwork ready and signed in online. I was given little to no instruction on how to get to the office. I was in the wrong building. I called and was on hold for a long time. When I finally got a hold of someone they helped me find the building. I was walking super fast to try to find the office giving myself Braxton hicks. By then I was 13 minutes late. They say you have 20 minutes. The people on the phone messaged the office letting them know I was lost and I told the. I told them when I got there I had gotten turned around. The receptionist told me the doctor couldn't see me though I still had time to make my appointment. Then I asked for a doctors note. I was told to have a seat. By the time they came back out I had been there at the campus for over an hour. They refused me a doctors note because they doctor refused to see me though I still had 5 minutes grace period. I started crying because I'm super pregnant and I felt so overwhelmed and the staff was so curt and rude. They were unwilling to accommodate. Michelle is the office manager and finally she agreed to give me a note for the hours or work I missed because the call center made her. I'm supposed to respect their time but they have no respect for their patients. The doctor's name is Sarwar orakzai. I won't be seeing him or ever returning to that location. Michelle was cruel and so was the doctor. I don't trust them with my care and never the care of my loved ones.

First, I would like to state that Dr. Kozina is just great. He rates 5 stars, but the front office is another story.
After I got home from my Echo appointment, I remembered I forgot to bring with me my current results of my blood work for my file and for the doctor to review.
I called the office when I got home and asked if I could mail the results in, but was informed that I had to bring them in to be scanned. I informed the person that the blood work was done at the 30th & Q Street Quest Lab, and asked if they were able to obtain the results from Quest. I was, again, informed I had to bring them in to the office to be scanned.
Today, I personally brought the results of my blood work into the office and explained I was told over the phone to bring in the results so they could get scanned The person at the front desk stated she had to check with the doctor's assistant. When she returned she informed me I didn't need to bring in the results because they were already in the system.
When she was telling me that, she made me feel like I was bothering her and that she was annoyed with me.
I was only doing what I was instructed on the phone to do.
