Erin Iannacone, M.D.

Following a visit to the ED and a cardiac catheterization the following day, my file was assigned to Dr. Erin Iannacone by shear luck. I later learned I would undergo a heart bypass to correct a number of problems that had developed since a previous stent implantation. Dr. Iannacone's empathetic approach and complete transparency was refreshing in what was the most terrifying moments of my life thus far. Her approach and her team were unparalleled. "Particular," "unflinching," "detailed," were words I would often hear from her team. None were ever delivered with a resentful tone, they were always used with great admiration and respect. It was very evident that she set my path forward using her vast experience together with the input and observations of her team. While there are often no guarantees with any medical procedure or surgery, she repeatedly reminded me the collaborative environment would likely achieve the desired outcomes. It's difficult to describe the confidence I gained through her conversational tone. She didn't minimize my concerns but emboldened my confidence with her approach. It is evident to me I was extremely fortunate to be assigned to her case load and appreciate all she and her team did and will do toward my full recuperation. If you are provided the opportunity to select your cardiac surgeon, I strongly urge you to consider Dr. Erin Iannacone.

Dr. Iannacone is extremely knowledgeable and a very compassionate person. She spent quality time with me and my family. She explained the procedure (even drew diagrams) and answered all of our questions in easy to understand terms. We are very happy to have met her.

Dr. Erin Iannacone is very patient and empathetic .Her explanation of the procedure was Exellent. She took enough time to tell us how the surgery is performed through diagram so we can understand . She takes time with her patient and answers questions and makes you comfortable. I felt less anxious after I talked to her . I highly recommend her .

She saved my father's life, not once, but twice. She is amazing, caring, and very empathetic to her patients and their families. She has made our family whole yet again. I wouldn't recommend any other surgeon. God bless her and her family.

Surgical skills:5/5; Patient interaction :5/5; I ask a lot of questions, Dr Iannacone was always patient, thoughtful & thorough with regards to her responses to me. This was evident before and after my surgery. When the risk of my condition was rising she had my surgery date moved sooner. She saved my life! I highly recommend her.
