As a new patient, this was one of my best experiences in a doctor's office. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, the nurse was also very friendly, asked good questions about my history and current health. Dr. K was great. She took time to talk with me, find out my history and her advice was offered in a positive way, not as a lecture. She pointed out a couple of spots on my back and mentioned that they were nothing to worry about. She encouraged me to be active, not lectured me about it, even explaining why it was important. And she didn't tell me I needed to go on a plant based diet (which is all I ever got from my previous doctor), that red meats are okay, just telling to buy the higher quality meats and stay away from processed foods. I highly recommend her. The only funny thing was they asked me to remove my shirt and gave me a gown. I am a male so it wouldn't have been a big deal.

I was so impressed during our last visit for my husband problems, when Dr. Kunaseelan looked at me, after talking with my husband and asked how I was doing. I don't remember the last time anyone asking me how I was doing while caring for my husband. I felt heard and seen.

I'm writing to share my disappointment and frustration with a recent experience at Raincross Medical Group during my wife's annual physical with Dr. Priya Kunaseelan. Having recently relocated to the Riverside area, we were eager to establish care with a reputable provider. While the earliest available appointment was over a month out, we accepted the delay based on the clinic's positive reviews and strong reputation. During the visit, Dr. Kunaseelan ordered routine bloodwork, and we were told at the front desk that a follow-up--being directly tied to the physical--would be scheduled within a week. That communication reassured us. However, once the results came in, we were informed that Dr. Kunaseelan would not be available for the follow-up and that the review would instead be handled by her Nurse Practitioner. This was misaligned with the expectations that had been set. We had hoped to continue the conversation and build rapport with Dr. Kunaseelan--not be redirected without prior notice. If this is the clinic's standard protocol, that information should have been transparently shared from the beginning so we could make an informed decision. To add to the frustration, we were then told the earliest available follow-up was nearly 20 days out--a far cry from the one-week timeline initially communicated. Having already waited over a month for the original appointment, this felt like yet another delay in what should be a straightforward continuity of care. When I raised these concerns at the front desk, I was met with defensiveness and accused of "shouting," despite maintaining a firm yet respectful tone. The interaction left me feeling not only unheard, but also unfairly labeled. I couldn't help but sense an undercurrent of bias in the way I was treated, which was deeply upsetting. We approached Raincross Medical Group with trust and the intention of building a lasting healthcare relationship. But the lack of clear communication, the extensive wait times, and the dismissive attitude from staff have made us seriously question that choice. I share this feedback with the hope that it's received constructively--because every patient deserves timely, transparent, and respectful care, especially when entrusting a new healthcare team with their well-being.
