Patient
Our family member was hospitalized in a trauma center and we were told they needed brain surgery. We had only a few hours to decide whether to go forward with it. We called the cardiologist our family member sees because we needed his input. Our doctor was not available and Dr. Gonzalez called back. To his credit, he called promptly. However, in my opinion, he was quite impatient and dismissive in telling me he couldn't help because he was sitting with a heart attack patient. When I explained the situation, asked if someone else might be available (he said no) and I apologized for the urgency, Dr. Gonzalez, in my opinion, then said in a nasty and sarcastic tone, "I might look at [family member's] records" and hung up on me. He never called us back.
