Patient
If there was such a thing as negative stars, this so called Doctor would have earned it. My 8 year old son had an open heart surgery on friday and was sent to ICU late afternoon. The next morning (sat) Dr Dhillon came to the door and decided to transfer my son out of ICU, I asked him why he is rushing considering it has been less than 24 hours since the surgery, he stated "that is not how we count it, it is Friday and Saturday so it is 2 days". He decided to transfer my son WITHOUT EXAMINING HIM. During the short dialog with him, he would not look me or wife in the eyes, he demeaner was dismissive, and talked as a supreme smart person talking to people with sub human intelligence, he was racist, full of himself, and apparently can decide to take a small child out of ICU by simply opening the door. We filed a grievance against this man and asked for patient advocate, who came and took a fair amount of information. To our dismay, we received 3 letters from Stanford, full of nothing but empty "I am sorry, this is not our standard" which add insult to injury. With this Dillon person, and who knows who else, a nurse came to my son's room at 8:00pm Monday, and she said that he is released at EIGHT PM. So my wife and I worked together, to find a wheel chair and transportation at 11:00 pm, and carried my son while asleep. At 11:30pm we received a call from Dr. McCarthy who asked if he had bowel movement as he should not have been released until he does, yet, my wife and I carry a sleeping child at 11:00pm in front of the nurses and medical staff, did not concern anyone, including the security staff. We had higher hopes for an outstanding Hospital like Stanford, to care more and to do a better job following the medical guidelines, and coach this racist minority on minority discrimination is alive and getting worse. I hope this review helps the next family who goes to that hospital to not go through what we went through. This doctor in my opinion is a disgrace to the profession, let alone the medical certificate he has, when he decides where the child goes without ANY exam.
