Desert Heart Physicians

Dr G Pourzia is a, Absolute Rude and Disrespectful person. He was screaming and yelling at my mother, Why? Because my mom asked to have some Lab work done, because she has heart problems. Dr G Pourzia got so upset he even demanded my mother leave the doctor appointment. While yelling and screaming at her all the way to the door. It was absolutely disgusting to see a Dr who has no care for the patient simply for asking questions. It worries me who has him as a doctor. As he has no care for your health. DO NOT TRUST Dr G Pourzia.

Highly dissatisfied. Went in for echocardiogram. I was in Afib. Had to wait for over a month for consultation with doctor. I was told if I had a problem before appointment, go to urgent care or ER. Finally met Dr Pourzia who is difficult to understand and doesn't listen. Put me on Eloquis and Metropolol. Pulse dropped to 43 bpm. Called the office, talked to PA, took her a week to get back to me. Doc is not concerned. If I have any other cardiac problems, go to ER. Pulse is still under 50. Hours Why do I need these people?

Wow Dr Pourzia! I found him to be very difficult to talk to because he knew everything and I nothing. After I did well on the Stress Test I requested a Calcium Heart Scan but he would not give it to me because I refused to go on statins until I knew more. He told me that was all I had to do otherwise I would have a heart attack. I had to go back to my family doctor and explain how the cardiologist was, he looked dismayed and then requested the Calcium Heart Scan. What a waste of time and money.

I am from Palm Desert but I work in San Bernardino 5 days a week from 7:00 am to 4 pm. I called Desert Heart Physician to get an appointment and get 3:30 PM appointment, on the day of my appointment I went to their Palm Desert office and to my surprise, the receptionist told me that my appointment is in Palm Spring Office, I told the the lady that nobody told that and argued that I under time from my work, droved 1 hour from San Bernardino. After few minutes and phone calls, the lady told me that The doctor in the Palm Spring Office can see me even I am late. I am so disappointed but I still went. Then again on my follow up appointment, again I under time on my work and drove 1+ hours from San Bernardino. I was surprised again, the receptionist told me that my appointment is the next day. I argued again, I told them that I am sure I have an appointment today as shown on the appointment card. Then another receptionist intervened and told me that she called me on my phone the previous day to let me know that they will change my appointment, because the doctor will not be available, but the problem was I can't recall receiving any calls from them and there was no missed call or message on my phone. I am so disappointed that i happened twice. I will never recommend this this cardiologist to anybody.

Nice reception and office. Seemed efficient. Joe was a standout--excellent! Dr. G. FRANK POURZIA was the doctor I saw. He was TERRIBLE! Rude, misogynistic, patronizing. He called me "honey" and refused to answer my questions about my heart surgery! This wasn't the usual arrogant doctor situation (which is annoying enough). This was unprofessional. I asked for a new doctor on the spot! I will never be in that man's presence again! It's shameful for him to treat a patient so disrespectfully. Shame on you, Dr. Pourzia!
