St. John's Regional Medical Center

I live in Ventura, California, and I'd prefer St. John's Hospital over any other hospital in Ventura. I don't have a problem with VCMC nor do I have a problem with Community Memorial Hospital.. It's just that St. John's they treat you like your family there a d all the staff that has cared for me during emergency room visits or when I had to be admitted they truly have the best bedside manners. The staff is very knowledgeable and are always making sure there patients come first. l highly recommend St. John's Hospital for your next visit. Staff is wonderful. The nurses and doctors truly care and they give you their time. Thank you

We went to the ER at St. John's Hospital with my daughter Karly and we were threatened extra super nice by our nurse Melissa Sixbey (HANDS DOWN SHE'S THE BEST) nurse St. John has in their staff period. She puts a smile on our faces every time we see her and my daughter LOVES HER and she can't wait to become a nurse someday like Melissa, she inspires her. TERRIBLE ATTENTION TO PATIENT CARE BY ER DOCTOR!!! I went in early on a Wednesday morning when the ER was very quiet, but out of the 3 hours that I was there, I saw the ER doctor for maybe 5 minutes. The nurses and support staff were absolutely great but I sat in a very, very uncomfortable chair for the entire 3 hours and never even saw the inside of a treatment room. After tests and results I was still waiting for the doctor to tell me the results and was told by the nurse that everything looked good and I could go home??? I had to actually go looking for the ER doctor treating me so that I could ask a question about my CT scan and God forbid, ask if I could get a small R/X for something for pain and was told she could prescribe a medication that I could get over the counter. So here it is 2am and I am in more pain than I was this morning when I went into the Emergency room at St. John's in Oxnard, THANKS FOR NOTHING!!! Next time I will just stay home.

After 7 calls to provide my tricare insurance they still couldn't figure out how to bill insurance. Sent my account to corrections 9 days before payment due date. Billing representatives barely speak English and hang up on you if you get upset. Absolutely do not go here if you have tricare.

I was received by the staff with kindness and concern. I also talked to a Doctor within 15-20 minutes after my arrival. They were very attentive and kind, they continued to monitor my heart and vitals. I was admitted and for 4 days received round the clock care. Thank for having a loving and kind staff, I appreciate all the care. God bless you all
