About Dr. Amar Chana, MD
Dr. Chana is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Chana completed his Medical Degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. His residency was completed at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL where he received the Excellence in Teaching Award (2005). He then completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA where he was elected chief cardiology fellow. Lastly, he finished his Interventional Cardiology fellowship at the John Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Chana is a Cardiologist at Pacific Cardiovascular Associates Medical Group (PCA). He also speaks fluent Spanish.

Dr Chana has been my Cardiologist since 2016. There is not a MORE CARING Cardiologist that I have had thru my years as a heart patient. Dr. Chana REALLY takes time to listen to his patients! I drive an hour or more back to Orange County for my appointments...... SO WORTH it for the care I receive. Entire Staff terrific!!

Dr. Amar Chana is a great person. He reviewed my history and listened to my health concerns. He scheduled an appointment for me to have an Echo, to test the condition of heart. He is very supportive with the positive things I'm doing for myself. He is not judgemental of my past dependency. He is very encouraging with my goal to improve my health and he is willing to assist me reach my goal to a better health.

Scheduling appointment wasn't a good experience. Signing in was easy however it was the first visit, didn't do much paperwork work. Those who expect a big smiley face in front desk, can't see it probably, although I have to mention that the front desk lady was polite. Wait time to see the doctor was fair. wish I could leave a separate 5 star review for Dr. Amar Chana and the nurse helped us. The nurse was so friendly and the doctor was considerate, professional and friendly, spent a good amount of time with us and listened to our concerns and helped us. I had to call back the office to confirm something, again the lady answered first and direct my call was bossy and was a long wait until got connected and that's the reason of the 4 stars not 5. Thanks.
