Dr. Karim El-Sherief, MD

My mother Maria moved to California in 2020. She had a hard time finding a cardiologist that made her feel comfortable while trying to navigate through the motions with her new diagnosis, and of course finding a Dr. who spoke Spanish fluently would be a huge plus. After many many months of being disappointed with the choices we were given, we were extremely blessed to be referred over to Dr. El- Sherief. I have to say I've never experienced such a genuinely incredible Dr. In just the first impression. He is beyond kind and it's not just to his favorite patients. He makes every patient feel special and cared for. The most compassionate Dr. He speaks fluent Spanish, and I'm pretty sure he speaks 3 other languages too. His staff are very bright and sweet. They are not only encouraging and uplifting but they are also very organized and professional while still making the office a positive and fun place to be. They deserve a huge thank you because at the end of the day offices really can't run efficiently without the staff. We love everything about this office they are always asking me about my mother and family when I call. I will always remember first hand the kindness i experienced and how lucky my mother was to end up there. It's unfortunate that she had to move back out of state, but hopefully one day I will get to visit and tell Dr. El-Sherief how much he and the office impacted my mothers life for the better.

My experience has been positive each time. The office staff is kind. I DO LIKE THE DOCTOR, HE SPEAKS CLEARLY AND EXPLAINS IN SIMPLE TERMS, so I can understand procedures and if I need to make changes. Thank you to you all.

I have been seeing Dr. Sherief for over a year after coming over from Scripps. My Cardiologist at Scripps recommended Dr. Sharif and I'm glad he did. Very comfortable and calming office space. Front desk Staff is very welcoming, professional and kind. Nurse Staff Ismerelda knows her stuff, explains well and is warm and kind. Front desk is efficient and professional. I have been to this office four times and never waited more than 5 minutes to be seen. Total office time today with stress test and echo cardio test 25 minutes. The nurse staff who performed these tests is good at what she does. Dr. Sharif is professional, explains in an understanding way and makes you feel cared for Excellent experience. . .

This guy is a condescending ego-maniac. He pretends to be LGBTQ friendly. Anyone with a Spanish surname he immediately assumes would rather speak Spanish. Never met a person more full of themselves who never thinks they are wrong. Both my moms returned to Kaiser and that's saying a lot. Don't be fooled by his fake kindness, he only cares about $$$.

Dr El Sherief has been my heart doctor for a number of years and I have had many heart doctors over the years and he is by far the best doctor I have ever had. He is easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. He is extremely friendly and has always made me feel comfortable and not like he is talking down to me. I moved to El Cajon and will not switch doctors because he is that great. Even if he is UCLA Bruin fan I will not go to any other doctor for my heart issues.
