Should've known this would not go well by the look of the building. It's falling apart. This place is a joke and might be the worst office in LA.
The office doesn't honor appointments and the doctor makes no attempt to call you even when you have a scheduled appointment. Happened to me twice. I'm still waiting for his call.
The front staff? Immature and inexperienced. Jessica, who sounds like she's a kid - offers no help, guidance or simple courtesy over the phone. Both she and Mariam, or whatever her name is, can't put 2 sentences together to offer real customer service and solutions.
Do yourselves a favor and go somewhere else. There are much better, more qualified, offices out there.

Was able to schedule first appointment quickly which consisted of an ekg and echocardiogram first before seeing the cardiologist. Upon arriving, I filled out some intake paperwork and had my medications they asked me to bring. There was really no wait, both ekg and echocardiogram were quick and easy and after was given an appointment for follow-up results via phone. If there was anything that needed immediate attention they said they would contact me before. Follow-up appointment was pretty straight-forward, Dr. Ruelaz gave me my results and asked a couple of questions regarding some of my medical conditions and then ordered a stress test for the future. Overall, I would say it was a good experience, the staff was very pleasant and efficient. Also, they did call and text to remind me of my appointment the day before.

For Dr. Robert Ruelas, it's not about providing quality medical attention. He is not on site and has madical assistants running the clinic on their own. I had an initial appointment for an EKG (which was done by a staff member in the facility). I was expecting to see the provider after the EKG. Instead, I was told the provider was not in the clinic, so I was scheduled for a telephone follow-up appointment a month after my initial appointment. I planned my work scheduled around my second appointment, which the clinic failed to keep. I called the clinic to check in on them and was directed straight to voice mail. I waited for a return call that I never received. 3 days after my failed appointment, I called the clinic to find out what was happening? I wanted my results since I was still having concerns about my health. The staff was rude and dismissive. Didn't care to hear my concerns and frustration regarding them not keeping my scheduled appt. Staff member completely brushed it off and didn't even bother to give me an explanation as to why my appointment wasn't honored. Instead, she said, Dr. Ruelas had already completed my chart note and had a care plan ready for me. My concern at this point was. How can someone in the medical field create a treatment plan for someone he's never even seen once? How can I trust a cardiologist that I have never seen, never spoken to, to be in charge of my health? It is a JOKE. It is the lack of professionalism and dedication to his patients that makes me question his practice. I will never go back to this place. If you are looking for a serious provider, one whose main concern is your health and well-being DO NOT seek medical attention from this provider. I encourage you to do your research before deciding to place your health on the hands of a provider whose top priority is not your health.

The doctor and staff were kind, professional, and excellent. There was hardly any wait; I was seen almost immediately. Overall, a very positive experience.

I had an appointment with Dr. Ruelaz at his Norwalk office and to be honest he has other members of his staff come out and preform tests on you and that after consulting with them he forms an opinion and calls you back days later to tell you his opinion. This man was rude and I felt he did not want to help me and I guess I was right because my appointment was on 3-31-2022 my call back was 4-6-2022 and only after giving him my family history he was forced into doing more work up on me which I must state he has not. I was told that I needed approval from my insurance which I totally understand but to this day he has not sent in for the approval. Which has postponed my surgery continued my pain and now a surgery I prob will not get due to the fact I need to go back to work. I was trying to get this accomplished before I went back to work but because of his egoism and his opinion he didn't think I needed to be looked at further. I will never go back to this "doctor" ever again. Terrible bed side manor. I thought doctors got into that field of work because they wanted to help people well not this man.
