Nipomo Health Center

This is a convenient location for anyone who lives in Nipomo. In the front office they ensure that everyone is wearing a face mask to prevent the spread of Covid. The doctor was helpful and diligent, she did not seem rushed as can be the case with some doctors. She treated me with respect and listened carefully. Everyone in the office was friendly and pleasant. I would have given 5 stars but I was offered some follow up information which was to be provided by the medical assistant and there may have been a lack of communication because I wasn't given the additional info.

Please please please do yourself a favor and never come to this terrible office! They are probably the most unhelpful people I've ever dealt with and I'm not just talking one experience. Expect delay after delay on everything. Always trying to pass the buck and be as unhelpful as possible. Don't make the mistake I did and make this your primary care provider. Any place could do a better job with a blind fold and 2 hands behind their back!

I wanted to like this place being so close to home but after repeated failed attempts at providing health care this place should have less than one star. Not only did they horribly misdiagnose very obvious items, they mischarged hundreds of dollars for preventive care which is free with my insurance! They ignored requests to recode the visit, so I finally had to have the insurance company tell them it is free and get the code directly from them. In addition, after repeated attempts to gain access to my own lab work I gave up. There was zero follow up after a serious medical scare. I would avoid them unless you like doing all their legwork, being over/inaccurately charged, and never ever having them actually pick up a phone call. I could do better using webMD, that way I could bill myself and at least one thing would be done correctly.

they never answer the phone and in the event they actually do you're only hold for 20 minutes! They don't have an option to leave a voicemail either! Hire more staff to answer phone calls if being short on staff in an issue. Dignity health is a BILLION dollar business they can afford to hire more staff to answers phones!

Wonderful staff, very little wait time, and if you don't like the doctor they set you up with, they make no fuss about changing them for you. One of the least stressful doctor's offices that I've ever been to.
