***BEYOND DISAPPOINTED!*** I was diagnosed with mitral valve heart prolapse and an abnormal echo and was told by my doctor to make an appointment with a specialist. So, I made an appointment OVER A MONTH AGO to see Dr. Haskell on 4/24/25 at 4pm (aka tomorrow) and just received a phone (THE DAY BEFORE) that they need to reschedule sometime in mid May because "the doctor is going on vacation." Not to mention the fact that I received a phone call yesterday confirming my appointment. The receptionist called me as if this is just some normal occurrence. I have been looking forward to this appointment since the day I made it. As a healthy 28 year old who just recently found out I have this condition, I'm sure you can imagine my anxiety and worry. I was relived to find out if this is something serious and what my treatment options are only to be blown off by some vacation. The receptionist even asked me why I made the appointment in the first place. Unbelievable.

This doctor is a joke. I had an appointment with him and nothing he said made sense. He seemed more concerned about being amusing and entertaining than in making sense. You want all your doctors to be sharp and aware of all the latest technology, especially] your cardiologist! This particular doctor did not say or do anything that made me feel confident that I had the right cardiologist. Don't waste your time...Hoag has other more adept cardiologists!
