Tanner Garth MD

I have been with Dr. Tanner since approximately 1998, give or take, and I have kept the insurance I have to be sure I can continue to see him. He is a very caring physician and highly professional. He also makes you feel comfortable with whatever the issue is you're having. He has also brought onboard a couple of different P.A.'s who are excellent. As for the staff, I have always been treated with kindness and a caring attitude. If they are pushed, due to the caseload for that particular day, I still feel they are friendly and caring. I will continue to go to Dr. Tanner (and I took my mother to him as well back in the 80's) as long as he's able to take my insurance, which I hope never changes.

I have been with this Dr. for 3years now..was referred by a friend who recommended this Dr. I saw Dr. Tanner on my first visit. He was GREAT. I told my friend Ifinally found a Dr. I felt comfortable talking with and had compassion for his patients. After discussing my problem with him , he gave me a hug, which I took as empathy for me. I was so happy to have a Dr. who cared and listened and I was not just a # in his field. When I told me friend who is also a patient of his, went back to the Dr. and told the staff(dont know what she said) but since that time the Staff has treated me rudely, won't give me appt.s to see the Dr. makes my appt.s 2-3weeks out.I have had 2 emergency calls . Back in Feb. 2023 I fell and broke my arm,wrist and elbow and had stitches on my chin, l went to Hospital by ambulance was told to go see my primary Dr. I could notget a appt. with the Dr. for 10-12days out. They staff is the rudest people I have ever encountered in my 75yrs. They do it on purpose. I feel they are discrinated toward the elderly. Although after reading the interview...I am not alone in these feeling. He definately needs a new office manager and staff. I could go on but this would take me all day tell tell you about what I have gone through in the last 3 years. Its a constant battle to get to see the Dr. I really like the Dr. But the staff runs the office and I dont believe he know whats going on. I need to move onto a more caring facility.

Tanner Garth MD, has a HORRIBLE staff... I drove 225 miles to make my appointment, and when checking in, they said there was a problem with my insurance card. They never verified my insurance with Humana, like they were supposed to before my appointment... I had Humana call the office, Humana told the staff the error on the card was their mistake, go ahead and accept the card. They refused to take me, I had a serious heart condition that needed attention right away. Even though the insurance company OKed my insurance, they refused to see me... This was after driving 225 miles to make the appointment. The staff could care less about my heart condition... Find a different doctor!

My wife and I have lived in 7 different cities in various regions of the country. We started with Dr. Tanner after our family Dr. retired about 2 years ago. Dr. Tanner is the BEST family doctor we have had in our 70++ years of life. His nursing and office staff is top notch. Doctor is very thorough, knowledgeable and caring. We highly recommend Dr. Tanner

Dr. Tanner is amazing. Very thorough and is so easy to talk and genuinely seems concerned. I would also recommend the PA Lisa. However, I'm only giving 4 stars because his office staff have always been VERY rude. I hate calling to make an appointment. One of the girls is very snotty & makes me feel as though My call is interrupting her.
