Sutter Urgent Care

My 88 yr old mom went to this Urgent Care due to severe shoulder pain and her PCP was on vacation. This Urgent Care's comprehensive medical diagnostic test availability such as xrays, CTs, MRIs and labs makes this a convenient and due to those immediate tests, this Urgent Care was able to diagnose my mom with Stage 4 Bone, Liver and Lung CANCER. They admitted her to Memorial hospital that same day, for more testing and to "rally her medical team in one location immediately ". She was admitted to Memorial Hospital where here oncolgist Dr. Ady met with her to discuss her treatment options. Mom was released from hospital within 24 hours with a team and medical plan of specialists and treatments. Oxygen and prescriptions were delivered to our home and I was informed of all upcoming treatments, appts., suggested nutrition, medications, and their possible side effects. This whole process was mind numbing for me and mom, but it was done with such PRECISION, their compassion, empathy, urgency, and explanation to us - made the situation so much easier for mom and me. At Sutter Urgent Care 600 coffee rd in Modesto, I received excellent attention an care within 15 min of arriving, that surprised me, if you can't see your regular Doctor then Urgent Care could be the next step, an see a great doctor Dr Fichtenkort. I was satisfied with the help I received, thanks, all questions answered, good job.

This was the second time I've been to urgent care and I'm really impressed when I got there. There was a short line by three people in front of me, but before I knew it, I was at the counter. I sat down for a few minutes before I knew that they had called me in and took care of me my hand feels so much better.

I expected it to be fairly busy, and it was. It took less than two hours from start to finish regardless. The staff was very efficient but it didn't seem curt, more like they were just good at their jobs. I'm finally feeling better so thanks.

This urgent care is absolutely not kid friendly. I have taken my small children here twice, only to try to avoid long wait times in the ER and because I couldn't get them in with their pediatrician & both times, we had a very negative experience. They ZERO Patience or empathy with children. I am a registered nurse & work in the ER so I KNOW it didn't have to be that way. They needed to ask you to restrain your child to take vitals, they don't even attempt to explain things the kids and when the kids cry or complain. They have absolutely zero. Empathy. Both the nurses & the doctor who saw us lacked compassion & were absolutely cold & rude. I would not recommend that you bring your kids here if you can avoid it.
