During my visit to this office on April 22nd, I received an appointment for a Halter Monitor scheduled for May 9th. It was not until May 7th that I was made aware of a $40 charge associated with the procedure. As someone facing significant financial challenges, I rely on my medical coverage to alleviate the burden of these expenses. Upon contacting the receptionist, whom I believe is named Lordis, to explore alternative options, I was initially asked to leave my ID as collateral, which was not possible as I require it for work purposes. After being placed on hold, I was informed that the procedure would not proceed unless the fee was paid in advance. My disappointment stems from the lack of communication regarding this charge, particularly since I had made arrangements for the initial appointment on April 22nd, which made me take time off work and incurred additional expenses. Moreover, despite visiting the office on May 2nd, no reminder was provided, making this situation more frustrating. Also, I found the response to my inquiries regarding appointment scheduling to be unsatisfactory, with the receptionist displaying rudeness and having a disparaging tone during our interaction. This was confirmed when she used Spanish, in a condescending tone. In light of these circumstances, I will now have to seek care elsewhere, with the hope of finding a provider who is more attuned to the needs and financial constraints of their clients. Had I been informed of the $40 charge at the time of scheduling on April 22nd, I would have had enough time to prepare accordingly. I hope that this clinic will address these concerns promptly to ensure a more positive experience for your clients in the future.

I have been seeing Dr. Ghazal as a Cardiologist for quite some years. I did studies for the CDC for 10 years and therefore have had interactions with several hundred Doctors of all different specialties. I can say both by personal experience, as well as in comparison through the conducted CDC studies, Dr Ghazal is one of the finest in his field. The fact that he also specialized in Internal Medicine significantly increases his diagnostic skills and is a profound plus in recognizing overall health factors. Dr. Ghazal is a physician that not only sincerely cares about his patients well being, but will persevere in research of the best treatment plan for your optimal health. One could not ask for more.

I am not a fan of needles and IVs, having had a few too many recently, so I was a little nervous about going for a 3-hour "Lexiscan" stress test for my heart at the offices of Dr. Ghazal at the Doctors' Tower at Hollywood Presbyterian. But Julio C. Garcia, Nuclear Medicine Tech, in that office immediately put me at ease by explaining the whole procedure, cracking jokes and assuring me I was in good hands. In his lab room, there was excellent 70s/80s pop music playing (not too loudly), and a general sort of warmth about the room--unlike hospital or lab rooms in general. He asked if I needed anything, any added water, time to collect myself, whatever. And he along with Andrea, got me through the 3 hours without too much fuss, in spite of the high tech tools they were using. So, two thumbs up to Julio (and Andrea, and the office staff) for helping me through a challenging test. Thanks for your professionalism and humanity, Julio.

Doctor Ghazal is a great doctor. I've been going to him for several years... however his receptionists and waiting area is beyond unacceptable! My last two appointments with the pacemaker technician were unbearable. Both times I checked in 15 and 20 minutes prior to my appointment and both times the receptionist made an announcement that the technician was going to be ten minutes late due to an emergency. The first time turned into a 45 minute wait before he even showed up and second after 25 minutes and no tech... the small waiting room accumulated 13 people in it with no ventilation, patients coughing and no supervision or concern from the 2 receptionists. Myself and another lady waiting left. It was not only unhealthy but stressful and the tension in the room got to the point where I had an argument with a young lady who walked in with an extremely bad attitude!
