I went to see him on August 29th, and within seconds of him opening the door he said I was "too young" to be seen for what I was referred for since "thoracic outlet syndrome is much too rare" and immediately redirected the conversation to hyperhydrosis he noticed (sweaty palms) - something not in my referral or medical chart. There was no examination, he didn't even ask to take my shirt off to see my affected area. He also mentioned that the MRI CD I provided wasn't working so he couldn't read it - so how exactly did he have this insight? Today, 12/26, received a bill from the PA that observed his "evaluation" for nearly $300! The only thing she provided was her anecdote of being happy with her thoracic sympathectomy and, now, lack of sweaty palms. He has horrible patient care and only cares about the bottom line, seeing that he recommended getting my sweaty hands fixed as soon as I was able! Avoid at all costs, he doesn't care about the patient.

First, Dr. Abolhoda was recommended by one of the cardiac nurses, who is a friend. I can't speak more highly of Dr. Abolhoda and his staff. Having worked in the medical field for several years, I can say in contrast to many doctors I have known, he was forthright, didn't pull any punches and answered the questions I had pre-op, yet was very personable, had a great bedside manner and demonstrated a very kind and gentle demeanor. During my hospitalization, he came by to see me several times and brought his staff on a couple of occasions. After double valve replacement and an ablation, at two months, I'm easily back to where I was six months ago.
