CVCA Cardiac Care for Pets

All staff at CVCA were very caring and compassionate. Dr. Smith is a very caring, loving, calm vet. She took the time to explain the whole process and treatment very clearly. I definitely recommend this place. PS: The coffee at the coffee bar is delicious :)

Dr. Smith and her entire team are absolutely wonderful! Visiting the vet can be stressful enough, but taking your pet to a cardiologist takes that worry to another level. They go above and beyond to make both you and your pet feel completely at ease. They treat your animal as if it were their own. My dog was scared and very timid, and everyone was so patient, gentle, and kind with him. I can't recommend this clinic enough!

Even though we had a very long wait, the warmth and care they showed made all the difference. Danielle, the assistant, greeted us with such calm kindness, and Dr. Smith went above and beyond in explaining everything thoroughly, even using a whiteboard for those helpful visuals. What made the experience truly special was how they let my daughter and me stay with our dog the whole time, easing all of our nerves. With easy parking, a spacious waiting area, and a team that's both incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely caring, I can't recommend Dr. Smith and her team enough. This is the kind of care every pet (and pet parent) deserves.

I have been to multiple VCA locations in LA, yet this is one of the best veterinary experiences I've had! Dr. Smith performed echocardiograms for my two cats, Bagel and Panini. She was calm and gentle, keeping their stress to a minimum, and completed the exams thoroughly and efficiently without causing them any discomfort. We were able to stay by their sides throughout, which made the experience even more reassuring. She also explained the heart's structure and what she was looking at after the scan, giving us a clear understanding of the procedure. I truly appreciate and admire her professionalism and the technicians' support. Feline heart health has always been a concern for us, and we left relieved to learn they're healthy with a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!!

We've had a wonderful experience with CVCA, and especially cardiologist, Dr. Courtney Smith. She has a remarkable way of explaining complex cardiac issues in a clear and understandable way, which made a stressful situation so much easier to manage. Dr. Smith is kind, gentle, empathetic, and it's obvious that she truly cares about the animals she treats, as well as their humans. Her entire team of assistants is also top-notch, compassionate, attentive, and incredibly supportive throughout every visit. We drive a hour just to see Dr. Smith and her team because the level of care is absolutely worth it.
