Ali Tabatabai, MD

I selected Dr. Tabatabai as my primary care physician through Medi-Cal and initially had high hopes. Unfortunately, I never even got to see the doctor because of the way his office manager, Ladan, treated me. Ladan was extremely rude, unprofessional, and should not be in patient care. I have already reported her behavior to Medi-Cal. After being asked to send in my Medi-Cal card for verification, I emailed it right away but received no follow-up. When I called two weeks later, the office manager answered, raised her voice, and switched to Farsi, telling me they don't accept Medi-Cal. When I explained that Dr. Tabatabai is listed as my assigned provider, she refused to even review my insurance and hung up on me. The experience was disrespectful and made me feel profiled. Patients deserve to be treated with dignity and respect regardless of their insurance coverage. I never got to meet Dr. Tabatabai himself, so I can't speak on his care, but I hope he becomes aware of how his staff treats potential patients. I'm sharing this so others don't go through the same disappointing and discouraging experience.

Dr. Tabatabaei is a very professional and caring doctor. He is knowledgeable, patient, and always takes time to listen and explain everything clearly.

While Dr. Ali Tabatabai might be a skilled physician, the mismanagement of his office by his sister is severely tarnishing his reputation. Her unprofessional behavior, combined with a lack of proper training or qualifications to manage a medical practice, creates an environment that is both chaotic and frustrating for patients. In a field as sensitive as healthcare, such mismanagement is unacceptable and could have serious consequences for the doctor's practice. Patients come to a doctor seeking not only medical care but also respect, professionalism, and organization. Unfortunately, her dismissive attitude and inability to handle basic office responsibilities have caused multiple patients to leave dissatisfied, and the frustration among staff and patients alike is palpable. The unprofessionalism has reached a point where it overshadows the doctor's competence and good intentions. If these issues are not addressed immediately, it's only a matter of time before this practice loses its credibility entirely. Word spreads quickly in a community, and repeated negative experiences like this could lead to a significant decline in patient trust and retention. Dr. Tabatabai should take urgent steps to replace the current management with someone professional and qualified. The success of his practice, as well as his reputation, depends on it. It's disappointing to see such potential wasted due to something so easily fixable. Patients deserve better, and if this issue isn't resolved soon, it may push many to seek care elsewhere.

The Doctor's sister Laden that works in the front desk is extremely rude! She doesn't listen and yells at you!! I would put O stars! I will change doctors because of her! This is my first time doing a review! I don't do reviews but this is been going on for a long time!

Kind, caring and concern physician. Good listener and explains everything in a simple way for the patient to understand. I will gladly recommend him to family member and friends.
