AFC Urgent Care Ladera Ranch

Dr. Qudaiesat was absolutely wonderful! He was gentle and kind, and was so absolutely amazing. He was able to refil all of my prescriptions. I came in because of hip pain. I need surgery. He was so sweet and caring and said he wished he was a surgeon so he could fix me right now. I wish I could make him my PCP

At first, it was good. But as I go in for more follow ups. I start to see the slip ups. Communication- not so great, staff-to-patient Communication have a break in between. I was told I was going get an update didn't happen. System was down but still scheduled and confirmed me. Went in for the appt., just to find out system was still down. Wasted time. dont expect a call back on time from them, keep your own timeline so you can stay on track. Was on hold for over 10 mins no update, was told they were going to pull my info up but how were they going to do that when they didn't even ask for any patient identitifiers? Also, keep in mind your "urgent matter" isn't THEIR "urgent matter. They'll get to you when they get to you. So don't expect them to rush for you even if you are asking them to fix what they missed the first time. Record requesting- make sure you got all of it because they might be missing something when they send it. Attitude- so-so, the interactions I've had with them both in-person or through the phone are 50-50. You can get a tech that is pleasant or you can get the one that feels more like "that's just there cause they have to work there". Customer service- in my opinion not that great. Its the small things that adds up. The wasting of time, attitudes, inadequate communication, or poor attention to the small details are what stood out to me in my experience. Also, if you dont want to be gaslighted into feeling like you're asking too much (update on a record's request for a missing record) think twice, before you waste your time here.

Came in for a follow up visit. I know they call it practicing medicine for a reason. You just do your best and hope you get it right. The provider is a lovely person. Has an accent and wears a mask. I struggled to understand her. If you are following the science the studies show masks do not work. Please remove the mask walk away from fear. When I left they gave me the papers of another patient. I should not have this information. When I returned them they tried to say no one received my information. How would they know that when they had no idea I had someone else's info. Right now I'm not happy with them.

Too bad I had to give 1 star although they deserve zero. This was one of the worst healthcare experiences I have ever had. I went to this AFC location in severe pain, expecting urgent medical care. Instead, the entire visit was a complete waste of time. The facility is filled with advertisements for facials and cosmetic injections, making it immediately clear that this place prioritizes beauty services and profit over genuine medical care. It does not function or feel like an urgent care facility at all. Despite having lab and X-ray capabilities, the provider refused to order any testing and offered no meaningful evaluation or explanation. I was dismissed while still in significant pain, forcing me to go to the ER afterward, where I finally received proper medical attention. The front desk receptionist was rude, dismissive, and unkind, and Leila, who was presented as the doctor, showed no empathy, no professionalism, and no basic human compassion. In my opinion, neither of them should be working in the medical field, as they are clearly unfit for a profession that requires care, urgency, and empathy for patients in distress. What made this experience even more disturbing was the contrast in behavior: when a client arrived for a cosmetic injection, the staff suddenly became friendly, smiling, joking, and laughing loudly, making it painfully obvious that patients seeking profitable cosmetic services are treated far better than those seeking urgent medical help. The clinic was not busy (only one patient present), yet service was slow and dismissive. The waiting area was also dirty and unsanitary--very few chairs, liquid spilled all over the floor, and no attempt by staff to clean it or even acknowledge the hazard. This is unacceptable for any healthcare facility. Based on my experience, this location fails at every level of what urgent care is meant to be and should seriously reconsider being licensed as such. I strongly advise anyone with real medical concerns to seek care elsewhere.

I went in to AFC Urgent Care yesterday because I have had a cyst get inflamed and need to be removed. The doctor was afraid to remove it and gave me antibiotics and steroids. Then on my way home, it burst. So, I will definitely need to see the dermatologist to have the sack removed but I am super grateful I have those antibiotics and steroids in the meantime. I would recommend this provider because the staff there are all very kind and friendly. The office is very clean and brand new. They don't waste your time or theirs and i appreciate that. It's a great local urgent care.
