I went here for a broken finger and had a really good experience. The staff was kind, attentive, and made sure I understood what was going on the whole time. I didn't feel rushed, and they took my pain seriously. From check-in to treatment, everything went smoothly, and I felt well taken care of. I really appreciated how professional and helpful everyone was during a stressful situation.

I took my mom in Monday night because she had horrible stomach pain to where she couldn't do anything other than exist in pain. We checked in at 10:52 pm, and at the time of writing this (3:21am) we got home 5 minutes ago and not because the pain was resolved. She got lab work done pretty quickly, then was sent to sit in the waiting room for 2 1/2 hours. They finally called her back and then sat her in another room to sit crying in pain until we left at almost 3am. No doctor talked to us, no nurse updated us on any time frame, no one did anything except orbit around us and basically act like my mom was invisible. Furthermore, we left because she wasn't getting help. Nurses and doctors walked by ignoring my mom in pain, people who came in after us left before us. We also heard doctors and nurses chit chatting on the otherside of the wall of the "room" (more like cubicle) they put us in. Finally she decided if she was to be in pain, she was going to be in pain in her own bed. While we walked out, nurses who I made eye contact with several times and saw my mom was waiting and in pain said nothing to us. The only helpful person this visit was a security guard who helped us into an elevator so my mom didn't have to walk up stairs when we were leaving, and he offered to get her a wheel chair or if there was anything he could do to help. So thanks to that security guard, and no one else.

If I could leave a review without a star. I would. Didn't come here for me, had to bring a friend it was the closest hospital. I should have went to chula vista or hillcrest. This place is so slow for no reason. minimal patients, many employees. Jessica in the ER dept. RUDE! We have been sitting in silence for hours, so of course after waiting so long and still needing to wait for the x ray to be done + results. we started talking and just kinda trying to find a better vibe making the best of the wait. she came to us immediately and said we need to quiet down.
(mind you in er dept 7 there was literally
no other patients.) whatever. you want it quiet, got it. what really irked me is that, its been hours and multiple x rays. with no update. it's obvious it isn't broken but we get it. safe than sorry. I just don't understand why this is place is so like uptight? and slow? I didn't catch the name but even the lady in the front desk on morning shift who sits in the corner when you're walking into the wound care er section. was insanely rude to a homeless lady who received treatment, and another woman who didn't know where to go for neuro scan. staff came to get patients for blood work, and wouldn't know where the patients are. (they had already been taken back and of course I knew this info solely bc we had been waiting for so long) Just felt in all n all. didn't make sense!
Definitely want to appreciate the kind staff we did have! Lady taking vitals, er rn name started U & our doctor, Markues? forgive me if I spelt it wrong. didn't expect to leave a review but here we are, waiting for another round of x rays to be taken.
but to those, You guys were kind and we are
thankful!

I'm only giving one star because it's the only way to leave a review. RUN -- do not go to this hospital!
This was the worst hospital experience I have ever had. I was there for seven hours with a possible bowel obstruction, in excruciating pain, and was never even brought to a room. A doctor came to see me in the waiting area -- in front of five other people -- asked a few questions, listened to my heart, and ordered an ultrasound and CT scan. Not once did anyone ask about or address my pain until much later.
Before any tests were even done, the billing department came out to collect my information and demand payment. After finally being given something for pain, they sent the billing person out again to tell me I needed to pay half my bill immediately.
After all the tests, the doctor once again came into the waiting room to tell me they "didn't find anything" and that I should follow up with my doctor or come back if I wasn't better. No one followed up, no one called -- the only thing I received afterward was a $3,600 bill and a survey asking if they could respond to my concerns (I said yes -- they never did).
This hospital is completely unprofessional and lacks compassion. Patients deserve care, dignity, and privacy -- not to be treated like a billing number. Let's see if they respond now

Brought my husband here for a wound check following a major surgery he had. The triage nurse & osteopathic physician were amazing. HOWEVER - they checked us in, OUTSIDE & it's 50 degrees outside. I wasn't allowed to go with my husband ANYWHERE in the hospital during the course of our visit. The registrar was beyond rude. Called my husband to a cubicle in the middle of the LOBBY - where she asked him to confirm his name, DOB, Address, and SOCIAL. There was NO privacy for any of my husbands personal information (which is protected by HIPAA). She then argued with my husband that the VA is a "benefit" & does not cover hospital stays - which had she let us explain, we were in the middle of trying to tell her that the VA provides my husband with Tri-west insurance.
PLEASE for the love of god take your loved ones somewhere else. I wouldn't take a dying dog here.
