This was very long time ago that happen!. 2001 My dad( that time was 50) had an acute CHF and needed CABG with mitral valve repair. Nonetheless, Dr Komjian did amazing. My dad is turning 75 strong, independent and great!

This review is long overdue! Dr Koumjian came across my mind today as I was thinking about a very scary and traumatic situation I was in 14 years ago. He was my surgeon and removed a really big tumor on the outside of my lung & along with 9 inches of my 9th rib and part of my chest wall that the tumor was growing from. I had no idea I had such a massive tumor but I was sick and I went into the ER because of severe pain while I was coughing and basically ended up in surgery. I was alone and in my late 20's which made me feel very scared. When I first met Dr. Koumjian before the surgery he explained everything & of course I started to cry. He was so kind to me and comforted me and made me feel safe. I will always remember that moment. Aside from being a great surgeon he is such a wonderful caring doctor and I am grateful that he was my surgeon! Thank you Dr. Koumjian, I hope you know how much your kindness meant to me!

DR Koumjian saved my life despite me having a stroke on the table during bypass surgery. I went into a coma for three weeks and he was there for me the whole time. Not many doctors could have brought me through that. I have had no heart problems since. 2012 when the operation was performed.

Dr. Koumjian is the "top of the food chain" when it comes to Vascular, or Cardiologists or whatever specialties he performs. He was available on the spot to fix one of my femoral arteries that was basically disintegrati ng, but moreso, his bedside manner just reeked of professionalism, concern and confidence, but really was relaxing and raised my spirits .
