California Heart Associates

Trying to call to schedule an appointment is near impossible. I've called four days ago twice and left a message for someone named "Kat". Never got a call back. I call again four days later and the same person "Kat" is still unavailable. Never returns calls either. However, the doctors are great.

From the initial appointment, Dr Nirula didn't think my symptoms were heart related but wanted to "cross all the t's and dot all the i's". He went above and beyond to do any and all testing to be able to conclusively rule out any heart issue. In the world of autoimmune diseases, this is something we often have to fight for! And he's super personable to boot. I'd recommend him to anyone. I really am so impressed with his level of care and attention.

I waited an hour and forty-five min. to see the doctor, WITH an appt. My appointment was at 9:15am and I wasn't actually seen by the doctor until 11am. I was 4 minutes late, filled out my paperwork, then waited. This is ridiculous. The receptionist is rude and short tempered and there were several people waiting in the waiting room when this place opened. Are they double booking...? I asked if this is normal to be seen an hour and a half after my appointment time and they said "since you were late, they pushed you back a patient or two". Because I was 4 min late? They pushed my appointment back by "a patient or two" without telling me..? What the hell?

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Elsayed for years. We have complete confidence in her and all of the medical personnel at California Heart Associates. I am sorry that some patients have had to wait at times. We need to remember that heart disease is a major cause of death in the US and cardiologists almost always have patients in the hospital or get emergency calls from stroke or heart attack victims who need immediate attention.

This place is really terrible. They said they would contact me when an appointment was available, but they didn't even call me at all. The doctor said they would complete the surgery within a month, but it's been over a month and they haven't even called me to schedule an appointment.
