Patient
Don't get me started! This was NOT my favorite Drs Appointment ever. This Dr. Was an appointment for my new PCP. And although she seemed to be adequately thorough and understanding with me, I found the entire patient/Dr. Experience within the whole office to be very challenging for me. First of all, the "new-patient paperwork " was just stupid. There was NO HIPPA AGREEMENT AND THE ENTIRE PAPERWORK PACKET WAS INSIGNIFICANT. I was not asked anything about my medical history or previous medical experience or records. I was Not asked about my current prescriptions or what I think would be relevant data for a new physician to request of a brand new patient. But I was given, with out adequate information, an Unfiled Medical form, which was provided to me to sign and give the doctor complete access to any and all of my previous medical history and records from any other providers in my past from any and all specializations etc. not having yet Even met this Dr., I was unwilling, to sign a "blank check" so to speak, giving total access to any and all of my information until I am informed about whom it is for and what they're requesting and why. My medical history is personal information and I don't feel it was appropriate to provide me a blank form indicating no specifics about her requests. Also, the office walls were extremely thin and I could easily hear her and another Dr. Over the phone, on a speaker call, with a patient, in the very next office, very loudly, discussing his very personal and private details about his medical records and psychiatric care needs. The two doctors seemed to almost berate the patient, telling him at one point, "To please be quiet and let them talk Mark" with a seemingly aggressive tone, when he only seemed to be attempting to express his feelings regarding his medication! Then my Dr. Exited the room for a moment and the Dr. On the speaker proceeded to continue loudly revealing "Mark's" personal and private medical information about his psychiatric issues at which point he had to attempt several times to over speak her loudly enough to cut her off!,, telling her several times " SHES NOT IN HERE!, SHES NOT HERE!" Trying his best to shut the on-going unprofessional colleague off from continuing to report his personal data aloud! It was received by me as extremely unprofessional and I was very disappointed with the whole experience. When "Dr. Natash" finished with him and attended to me, she was courteous and kind but didn't seem to be very interested in my thoughts, feelings, or concerns about my medical needs. She was just very routine and ordered standard labs. When I questioned her for referrals for my required specialist appointments, she virtually told me, to find them myself that wasn't her problem and I should just figure it out myself, which has proven to be challenging to "stay within my network " since I don't even understand what "network access " she's referring to... aren't all the physicians on my health care app " in my network"? Oh well, I guess that's a different review!
