I saw Dr. Vera on a regular basis but never cared for his bedside manner. He often came across as disconnected and somewhat pompous, but I continued seeing him because of his strong reviews and because he was covered under my insurance plan. During my last visit, there was some confusion regarding a medication that was prescribed by another doctor. I mentioned that I had spoken with that doctor about lowering the dosage, and she agreed. Upon hearing this, Dr. Vera became visibly annoyed and felt it was the wrong action of plan. As I was leaving, he called out and told me not to come back to see him again!! I found his behavior unprofessional and unnecessarily hostile, especially given that I was simply trying to communicate openly about my care
