Newest edit: I rescheduled with Dr. Sandhu--to give him another chance as my doc requested--and then received a letter in the mail a week later stating that he refuses to provide service for me. They doubled down on their vindictiveness and wasted what little life left my heart might give me. Don't risk it. go somewhere that cares about LIFE. Edit: My doc convinced me that Dr. Sandhu is good enough to set aside the deficiencies of his admin team. I'll give them another shot. They don't tell you when you make an appointment for a stress test that if you don't confirm your appointment two days prior then they will cancel your appointment for you. I was out of service all day yesterday and woke up to a message saying that my appointment had been cancelled. When I called the receptionist said that they sent me a letter stating that that would happen. That is something you need to be UPFRONT about. Not something you hide in the mail. 1 star for deceitful practices and wasting my damned time. I would take that star away if I could. They told me it would take up to 15 days to get approval from my ins for this appointment. It took them well over a month. I have a heart condition--it's life threatening--and they've demonstrated that they don't care one bit because I'm a potential waste of money. Go somewhere else. Afterthought: I called Dr Sandhu's office in Mariposa days ago to schedule a follow up for the appointment that they cancelled. Cancelling an appointment that I scheduled a follow up for is just plain vindictive.

Dr. Surinder Sandhu is absolutely the BEST! I've been his patient a very long time and have referred my entire family. He also treats my 103 year old mother in law, and she's doing great. He is very knowledgeable, kind, and through. But most of all he sincerely cares for you as if your were his only patient.

Before becoming a patient of Dr Sandhu, I was seeing another cardiologist in Turlock, although I am a Mariposa resident. When he told me that he had done all he could for me, I decided that I was not coming back for his care. Instead I visited Dr. Sandhu and was pleasantly surprised. Not only did he say he could do more, he did! He introduced me to a procedure called Cardioversion that can help people like myself, restore their heart rhythm. I developed AFib after having Covid 19 in 2021. I wasn't aware of the problem till it was discovered at Stanford Teaching Hospital in Palo Alto. Dr. Sandhu not only took on my problem, but he restored my heart rythum with the above mentioned procedure. I'm 89 years old, and perhaps that was the reason the other Cardiologist decided not to treat me. That was fortunate for me. I'm very greatful and pleased that Dr. Sandhu chose to go the extra mile for me. I recommend him strongly, to anyone in need of a good Cardiologist. Thank you, Dr. Sandhu.

Not good. At the first appointment with him he talked to the medical students instead of me about what was going on. At the stress test one of my symptoms occurred. And he said, "that's weird, why does that happen?" It has been more than a month and according to his staff he has yet to review my record and come up with a plan for the next steps. The negative results on my tests weren't enough to cause him to want to reach out. He is unable or unwilling to engage with patients. He does not review history or come up with plans prior to an appointment. The only benefit is that he at lest knows to order tests.

When I moved to Mariposa three years ago, I was concerned that I might not find the same quality of care that I had when I lived in Burbank. After my first visit with Dr. Sandhu, I realized that my fears were unfounded. His attention to detail, balanced with his genuine concern for his patients, makes him one of the finest physicians that I have ever visited. As a former competitive swimmer and triathlete I respond well to having a great coach. There is no more important coach when you are in my position than your cardiologist, and I feel that my health and well-being is of great importance to Dr. Sandhu. His sacrifice of his time and effort to drive from his impressive office in Fresno to help his patients at John C. Fremont in Mariposa is much appreciated by all. I have only heard favorable comments about him from other patients, and his fine reputation is well deserved. I'm sure that when you are in his care you'll feel the same way.
