The worst cardiac experience i have ever had! I was at the hospital at 5am and he arrogantly showed up around 11am. I was having a battery replacement on my pacemaker. He inserted a battery with 90deg angles that stuck up at least 1" above my skin. Ok, redo. This time he was only 1 hour 40 mi minutes late for surgery but he started cutting me before i was asleep!! I started screaming, "I'm not even asleep and that hurts!" He kept cutting while barking out orders to his staff. He never acknowledged me or stopped cutting me. My anxiety kept me awake much longer than normal. He is not respectful of his patients or his staff. Never again!

Checked in for my appointment for 230 at 217. Proceeded to wait 3 hours to see the doctor, he came in didnt even talk to me. He spoke only to the nurse typing the report. He was in the room for 2 minutes, I timed it. Then says ill see you in a year. Yeah I will not be coming back here, waiting this long is ridiculous. I had to take a day off of work to be seen for 2 minutes.

My daughter at 44 years old had a heart attack and Dr Boran was her surgeon! he never came to see her in the hospital after the surgery she had to wait A month for her postop appointment! Never told about any restrictions for diet or lifting or walking or anything like that! No time off from work she works 8 to 5 Monday through Friday! When she finally saw the doctor a month later, he pretty much dismissed all of her concerns he just said oh you're fine! She has been suffering with anxiety because she did have a heart attack. She is stressed to the max. He put her on a few more meds which she feels she doesn't need! She said he was rude and dismissive! I personally have never seen the man, but I wish I could've gone with her. That is why I'm giving him a one because she came home crying on my shoulder and it broke my heart.

Kevin is one of the best heart surgeons in Fresno. Wait times, communications, and bedside manor are issues for some. However he will try his best to keep you alive and healthy. He is a workaholic that sometimes creates staff turnover. I am thankful to have been a patient for seven years.

Dr. Boran IS a great cardiologist. He saved my father's life when other surgeons were ready to declare him dead. My father had been in the hospital for a few days with kidney problems. One day a nurse called me at home and asked how fast I could get there because my father had just been rushed to surgery with heart issues. I asked if his cardiologist, Dr. Kevin Boran had been called. She said she didn't know, but that my father was already in surgery and there was no time. I begged her to please call Dr. Boran anyway. My family trusted him so much. She must have called him immediately because when my father came out of surgery this is what one of the surgeons said to me, "I was taking my gloves off and we were just about to declare your father dead when Dr. Boran's call came in." The other doctor said, "I was already walking out the door." I went numb and have no idea what was said to me when one of them proceeded to explain what Dr. Boran instructed them to do that brought my father back to life! Had a nurse not confirmed what I had just heard, I would have thought I was hallucinating. Dr. Boran also performed angioplasty and other procedures on my mother. He kept her heart in great shape for many years. She adored and trusted him completely. He is now my cardiologist for routine annual checkups. If I ever develop a heart problem or require a procedure, he is the one I trust. So, I would say the wait time was and is well worth it!
