Patient
Called the office this morning in regards to my late father's medical invoice. This is the first time we have seen this bill. Services were done in March 2022, and we received a bill from the office in October 2022. My father passed away within two weeks of the services done by the office. I spoke with Lin Lin from the billing department. Lin Lin was impolite, atrociously rude and unprofessional. What a terrible experience! Lin Lin should really not speak to people in general with that attitude. At the end of the conversation, she just hung up and I did not get the information that I needed nor was I done talking. My father had private insurance, and both Medicare A and B, so not sure why they are asking for the remainder of the bill. The way Lin Lin was talking to me was shocking. Just started to berate and scold me out of nowhere, all because I said my dad had passed and did we need to pay this invoice. When we received the ER bill for my dad a few months later, they closed the balance out since my father passed away and we sent them the death certificate. Lin Lin did not allow me to talk and talked to me like I had done something wrong. She then goes "we will not waive this bill, but then again, we cannot argue with a dead person." Then hangs up shortly. Literally appalling. It is extremely unfortunate people and places have zero sympathy or do not know how to talk to be people in sensitive situations. Her mind was just on the money. Just so everyone can get an idea of how ridiculous this is; the remaining balance that was outstanding was $38, after insurance paid majority. If you cannot waive $38, then it shows the true colors of this practice. #GreedyVultures
