I never saw the doctor. Cursory staff. Incredibly hot office though the person behind the desk said the AC was on. Masks still required, without an explanation as to why. Started filling out paperwork but left due to heat. I got a better recommendation for a Washington Township PCP so will go there.
1.0 star rating 6/30/2017 First to Review I'm giving this doctor 1 star, because: 1. I waited over 40 minutes in the lobby, with only one other patient there, and I had an appointment. Don't expect fast service 2. I went to get a medical diagnosis for heart palpitation issues and all I got was my vitals checked and 10 minutes of Q&A with a doctor. This cost $375 even with my company health benefits. It's unbelievable that I can spend an hour in a facility, 40 minutes of it waiting, and get charged that much. 3. The receptionist said she would call me back and never did. 4. No in-house solution options were given. The doctor basically referred me to different places for different tests, and then to return the tests back to him. That's highly inconvenient. 5. I asked the receptionist and the doctor how much this visit would cost and neither of them gave me a precise answer. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR MEDICAL NEEDS!!!
I've been going to Dr. Degalen for years and would definitely recommend him to others. Yes, you will wait a long time in his waiting room and the scheduling is tough. But you know what? You can get your food right away at the McDonald's drive thru but will have to wait much longer at a Michelin star restaurant ;-) I would much rather wait to see such a capable, caring doctor than get in immediately to see one who doesn't know what he or she is doing and/or doesn't bother to listen to patients. Dr. Degalen has always treated me with respect and done everything he could to get or keep me in the best of health. Spending time in the waiting room is a small price to pay for that, in my opinion.
He was thorough, and took the time to explain, evaluate everything. Staff is pleasant and polite.
Dr. Degalen has been my doctor since 2013. He is in my opinion the best. I would definitely recommend him to others.
