Extremely frustrating experience with billing. We moved to Folsom from Bay Area and had to change facilities from John Muir to Sutter Health. I made an appointment for a physical checkup and after visiting the doctor got a bill for $470 for that appointment. After spending over 2 hours on the phone with Sutter Health and Aetna, I'm still unable to get to the bottom of this. The way they bill for a physical does not satisfy insurance and they refuse to change the billing codes. This is super frustrating and the only reason I and my family will never visit Sutter Health facilities again. I just don't want to pay $470 for a regular doctor visit nor want to pay for a physical preventative visit.
Very convenient lab, usually no wait time. Morning hours are very convenient for working class. The lab is not open on weekends, kind of annoying, I wish these guys start weekend hours soon.
Unless I'm missing something, when i try to call this center, the only phone numbers it gives me online is 1. The urgent care line 2. The line for lab work 3. The line for the neurology department It can make it really inconvenient to try and call a reception desk or even my care team because i have to ask someone else to direct me to the right line.
Dr. Hickey deserves a raise. He's pretty amazing. Funny guys but also genuinely cares and does all he can.
