Great clinic, great staff, great care. I have never been happier since I changed PCMs about 3 years ago. Dr. Tran takes the time to get to know you and your issues and is the most thorough provider I have ever seen. Referrals are easy, lab work is quick and convenient, and I can even call and get an appointment the same day if needed. Thank You to all who work at Scripps Coastal Medical Center Eastlake!

If you have blue shield/blue cross looking for preventative care dont come here. I confirmed my preventative care visit would be covered by my insurance both when I booked and before I went into the office and gave my insurance card and they said yes as long as i dont discuss concerns. Long story short they didnt bill the preventative code and wouldnt change it when i asked or when my insurance told them to change it and couldnt provide reasoning except "they dont bill preventative care visits for new patients" which i was never told when I booked or checked in. Theyre billing $330 for this visit despite not bringing up any concerns. UPDATE: reached out to the email they sent over in their response after writing this review, no response back from the company at all UPDATE: after a lengthy appeal process with my insurance, the insurance assigned a doctor to review the file and they told me scripps billed it incorrectly and that the visit was indeed preventative and covered the visit. I will not be going back to Scripps ever again

2 stars cause I do love my pediatrician- Complete disappointment and horrible experience with Scripps billing. June 19, 2024 I was sent a bill that was over 700 dollars. I paid it then cried to my husband over an unexpected expense. He looked over the bill and noticed billing had double charged for the same procedure. I immediately left a portal message and called the number to dispute the charge. When I talked to billing over the phone, they said it was an error and that it would be fixed. What shocked me was when the service rep said it would take up to 30 days to resolve. Why? You just admitted the error- fix it!? Well, that's their policy... I have called at least 5 different times (I have a newborn and each call- at least an hour!) and I've received nothing but the run around and DIFFERENT opinions each call! I've asked to speak to supervisors only to be told no one was available - I'd get a call back. I never got calls back from supervisors !!! So here I am, more than 30 days later- NO refund! Almost 600 dollars owed back to me and this type of service is making me look into a new provider! Scripps billing management- I hope you listen to every call I've made and make changes! This type of policy and service is absolutely unacceptable . UPDATE: Scripps reply below to send them an email - we'll I did! They've provided NO REPLY or higher up to reach out to me and discuss. I finally received a letter saying it's their fault and I will get a refund-BUT it's now August 7 I'm still waiting for my 600 dollar refund. HORRIBLE

My experience with the doctors and nurses at Scripps has been excellent--not just at this location, but across all of their facilities. The medical care I've received has consistently been top-notch, and I truly appreciate the expertise and compassion of the clinical staff. However, at the East Lake location, the front office experience significantly impacts the Scripps experience. One staff member, in particular, is flagrantly absurd, unprofessional and disrespectful, even in the presence of a supervisor. I find her behavior so concerning that I am looking for care at Sharp. It's disappointing to encounter such issues at an otherwise reputable organization, and it does raise questions about the overall management and culture at this location. I hope Scripps addresses these concerns, as the quality of care provided by the medical team deserves to be matched by the professionalism of the entire staff.
