Matthew Pugh, DO - 765 Medical Center Ct

When it comes to cardiology Dr Pugh is the master. I find him an excellent communicator. In addition, he has crafted his skill to inspire Trust. Yesterday he has implanted The Watchman device into my heart. The team was of the highest quality. The aftercare in my overnight stay here in sharp Chula Vista hospital has been constant. After the care that I have received x-rays, EKG, echocardiogram and blood work, I leave here knowing my heart is in a superb condition. When you need a cardiologist, you do not need to look any further than Dr Pugh.

Dr. Pugh has been my cardiac EP since 2017. He has performed two necessary procedures and both were successful. I have been getting follow ups regularly since and all were fine. Now I am having new issues and called his office a week ago and got a heart monitor the next day. I am getting another procedure soon. I love the responsiveness, kindness and patience of his staff. It's very stressful having heart issues and I know 100% I am in good hands with Dr. Pugh and his amazing staff. I highly recommend him for any cardiac issues.

My dad is 82 years old with a myriad of health problems. He tends to be independent, stubborn and highly distrusting of most health professionals. When we took him to be examined by Dr. Pugh, it was one of the few times my dad actually enjoyed the visit and left feeling informed and optimistic. Dr. Pugh and his entire staff were very professional while at the same time being very personable to both my mom and dad. After a thorough examination, Dr. Pugh took the time to explain to my dad what he had discovered, and what his personal recommendations were. He also gave my dad other options for treatment, and told him whatever my dad decided is how they would proceed. My dad mentioned that he appreciated the time and care Dr. Pugh took to explain everything and also to answer all of the questions he and my mom had. As I mentioned, my dad has several health issues and sees a few different doctors, but Dr. Pugh is the only one that he doesn't go kicking and screaming (figuratively speaking of course)to go see. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Pugh and his staff. They have made a very difficult situation much easier to handle and understand because they care enough to take the time to treat my family like their very own.

Absolutely the BEST!!!! in his specialty. Very kind doctor and Dr. Pugh really takes the time to talk to his patients and really has the kindest heart. Yes, he is very busy, but that's because he is the BEST!!!! Appointments are really easy to book. Very little waiting in the waiting room. His staff is the BEST!!! very sweet receptionists and they, too, have very kinds hearts for the patients!!!

Dr Pugh and his staff are amazing! I am a recovering addict and had to get a pacemaker at about 4 months clean and saw countless doctors throughout that process this team was the kindest most compassionate and they've been rocking with me on my checkups ever since, even times I've been in between insurance, great people and I'll always recommend.
