My experience was extremely professional and pleasant. After my ER visit with a broken leg on Friday 3/17/24,Dr Heywood and his team were able to get me in for a post op on Monday 3/19/24 and surgery all lined up and ready to go the next day at Dominican Hospital. Everything went very well and I am on my why to recovery!!
Hugely disappointed in Dr. Heywood. Rude manner, lack of compassion, unwillingness to hear about my difficulties. Accused me of "rolling my eyes" when talking with him about my serious health issues. Felt disrespected and unheard. Avoid this place.
All back office staff I came into contact with were friendly and seemed efficient. The wait time to see Dr.Heywood was less than 5 minutes. Dr. Heywood was his usual approachable self (this was my 3rd visit and was unrelated to the previous two). He asked how I was doing and then he just listened, before telling me what the X-rays showed. He gave me several options. He said he doubted that microscopic knee surgery would help with the bone on bone pain I was having so I chose the steroid shot. It's been two weeks and the pain is completely gone, do now at least.
I was referred to Dr Heywood by my sister. Come to find out 3 of my siblings have had there surgeries by him. I met with Dr Heywood about a year ago for my hip and shoulder. He's very detailed, explained everything so I was well informed. He answered all of my questions. I highly recommend him and his office, and so does my family.
Dr. Abidi has rebuilt both of my ankles. If it wasn't for him, I probably wouldn't be walking right now. At the moment, he is helping me with a hip replacement surgery. He takes the time to explain everything in detail, and is a very nice man, and also very knowledgeable in his field. Much more than most I believe. If you want it done correctly, I highly recommend him.
