Patient Reviews

I try not to be a negative review kind of guy but I finally caved and decided to give this place a review just in case someone has the reservations I did. First off the appointment. The physical was normal enough. But I mentioned an issue with a series of burst blood vessels on my leg. Listen man I'm not jumping to take my pants off in this office for you, but you don't at least want to look at it? I get this is sports medicine focused, but I mentioned it flares up during athletic activity and that's a concern of mine. Without any inspection bloodwork was recommended. I got bloodwork done. Had a virtual consultation about the results of said bloodwork which was "huh strange let's do more bloodwork" I know bloodwork can prompt more specific bloodwork but that was a ten minute consultation with nothing of any help. I'm not looking for a diagnosis but if you're just going to keep sending me back to bloodwork give me a specialist so they can at least narrow down what I'm testing for. The real reason I'm writing this review is that this place started harassing me for a copay for that ten minute virtual appointment. A copay is a copay whatever, but they didn't bring it up until more than half a year after that appointment. No mention of it or communication, and while they claimed they called and emailed I checked my past calls and my spam and there was nothing. No communication of any kind. Just that text eight months later with a link to a payment and no proof of association with the office. I tried to pay through their website and patient portal but none of it worked. There's something to be said for putting a portal online, but when you're using multiple portals you're overcomplicating an otherwise straightforward appointment. I caved and paid them with that third party link. I was confident it was in fact them as I did eventually get emails from the patient portal, like two weeks ago, so more than a month since that fishy text and me asking them to send proof of identity or a way to pay through their website. Overall not a good experience for me. Felt frustrated with both the service provided and subsequent insistence on a payment brought up extremely late. Also felt frustrated because me bringing up that asking for payment through a text message and third party link was treated as unreasonable in that conversation when that felt like an extremely fair reluctance to have with how phishing scams are run nowadays. This place is well reviewed so I assume others have stories of much better experiences and I encourage you to read their sides as well.

Patient

Have never been a patient here, though I have been a patient at el Camino. For some reason, their receptionist, Annabelle, was going through my medical record 11/13. I have already filed complaints with the state, interested to see how this plays out.

I've had an outstanding experience with Dr. Mike Gorenchtein. He is a highly skilled and attentive physician who takes a proactive approach to maintaining your health. I especially appreciate his thoroughness--he takes the time to order the right tests based on your individual needs and family history, which many doctors overlook. His positive attitude and genuine determination to help his patients truly set him apart. I feel confident knowing my health is in his hands.

Patient

I had a ski injury in February and visited Silicon valley sports medicine. This facility did the bare minimum but charged about $600 for a few minutes of consultation. This facility doesn't have an X-ray machine. So you need to go to another facility and the doctor deferred me to a different team at a different facility for further diagnostics on the results of the X-ray were available. I do not recommend this place.

Patient

If you don't mind being charged 600 dollars for a 10 minute appointment just to have the doctor tell you to get an unnecessary xray (another 100 dollars or so) and to see a physiotherapist then this is the perfect place for you Edit After Reply: You are technically right. You didnt "charge" me 600 dollars for a 10 minute appt. You charged the insurance 200 dollars and me 400 dollars for a 45 minute appt. Thing is, it still doesn't change the fact that your business receives 600 dollars while the patient saw the doctor for 10 minutes.
