I became a patient of Dr. Daneshrad in 2022 after relocating to LA from NYC. I require regular monitoring for an aortic aneurysm. That year, he ordered a CT scan with contrast for pre-op clearance. I was never contacted about the results, so I assumed there were no issues and proceeded with surgery. In 2024, during a follow-up for another pre-op clearance, he appeared alarmed when reviewing my chart. He asked if I had ever undergone a CT scan with him, then located the 2022 results -- which he seemed to be seeing for the first time, two years later. Upon reviewing it, he panicked, ordered an urgent CT scan, and mentioned the possible need for thoracic surgery. The original 2022 scan had shown significant aortic dilation -- information that had never been communicated to me. The new scan showed less dramatic changes, but he questioned its accuracy and promised to follow up with the technician. He never did. I never heard from Dr. Daneshrad again. I have since moved my care to USC Cardiology, where I have received thorough, attentive treatment. Their surgeon reviewed the 2022 scan and described it as one of the worst-quality scans he had ever seen. While Dr. Daneshrad may have helped many others, my experience was marked by neglect, poor communication, and a clear lack of follow-through. Every visit felt rushed and chaotic, and my trust in his care was ultimately broken.
